News, Reviews, Readings and Erotica!

Hey everyone! My site has been pretty packed just lately with the Noble Romance Authors Blog Tour (which I hope you’re following and commenting on – have you seen the prizes you can win? Pretty gutted I can’t enter!) as well as Weekend Dirty Dozen and Six Sentence Sunday stuff, so I thought I’d sneak on and give you a quick update with what else has been going on, and what’s coming up. Here goes…

I recently signed on as a contributor to Queer Magazine Online. I don’t have a set schedule so I’ll just be posting as and when, but I wanted to draw your attention to my first post. It’s called “Who’s Reading It, Anyway?” and poses a question that I’m desperate to have the answer to, so please head on over there and check it out: http://www.queermagazineonline.com/articles/item/6086-whos-reading-it-anyway-by-lucy-felthouse

I’ve also had some fab reviews just lately:

Love Through TimeLove Through Time

“Love through Time was a slow burn but this tale cackles with sexual energy throughout and you cannot help but feel for the great characters, the scene setting is fantastic and the passion will have you squirming this is one I’m sure I’ll be re-reading time and time again. One for the bookish babes who are tigers in the sack.” 5 out of 5, Erotic Whispers

*****

“Love Through Time is a cute little love story, with the promise of an HEA ending at some point in the future… I read it at Halloween, which seemed appropriate, but it’s a good story any time.” 4 out of 5, Manic Readers

Brick Dust & Bedsprings

“A very hot short story.  Marcus and Jamie are two hot hunks, they are supposed to laying pavement for a new drive. Instead they end up laying the lady of the house. A sexy romp that will leave you wanting to find your own hunky helper.” 5 out of 5, Getting Naughty Between the Stacks

*****

“This was a perfect read to pick up in-between reads, getting ready for bed, or when you only have a few minutes and you just have the urge to… read. Lucy Felthouse writes some great down and dirty goodies. Don’t miss this one.” – Daydrmzzz

Weekend at Wilderhope ManorWeekend at Wilderhope Manor

“The chemistry was off the charts….they didn’t keep their hands off each other from the offset and it is all incredibly hot! A sexy short with imaginative sex and a pair of frisky heroines. Definitely one to set you in a particular mood ;D” 4 out of 5, Scorching Book Reviews

Finally, I have a busy weekend ahead! I’m disappearing off to London tomorrow. Tomorrow night brings the highly-anticipated launch for Victoria Blisse‘s latest release, Tempting Rendezvous, which is part of a hot rubenesque trilogy! She’s asked me to be her special guest, so I’ll also be reading from some of my latest releases, including Seducing the Myth, which I will have print copies of for you to buy! Full details of the reading here.

Then Saturday brings the Erotica show at Olympia. There I will be doing a reading as part of Xcite Books’ reading slam, and also sitting on a panel which will be chaired by Jane Wenham-Jones. The other authors sharing the panel with me will be Kitti Bernetti and my buddies Kay Jaybee and Victoria Blisse (we’re so inseparable this weekend!). I’ll also be mooching around all day, with the aforementioned Kay and Victoria, as well as K D Grace, Lexie Bay and Rebecca Bond. Methinks it’s going to be a star-studded day at Erotica on Saturday! 😉 Come back on Monday for an update on the craziness!

Gone Fishin’

Gone Fishing
Bite with HeightOK, so I obviously haven’t gone fishing. That’s not my cup of tea. I have, however, gone on my holiday/research trip to France, where I’ll be spending three days in Paris sightseeing and also researching the sequel for my paranormal erotic romance, Bite with Height. I’ll be hanging out in graveyards, bookshops, churches, erotic museums and much more. I’ll let you decide what’s for fun, and what’s research. You may well be surprised! All being well, I’ll also be meeting the lovely Emma Hillman for lunch – erotic writers lunching in Paris, how very cosmopolitan! 😉

There will be some posts appearing on the site (scheduling technology permitting) while I’m away, and I’ll probably send the odd Tweet via text, or if I can find free WiFi (that actually works!). Otherwise, though, I’m out of contact *shock, horror* until the 10th when life returns to normal (until K D Grace and Maxim Jakubowski’s book launch at Sh! Hoxton on the 14th October, of course!) and I’ll start wading through my emails then.

In the meantime, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do! 😀

eBook Review: The Pet Shop by K D Grace

Article first published as eBook Review: The Pet Shop by K.D. Grace on Blogcritics.
The Pet Shop

The Pet Shop is the second novel from K D Grace. Her first, The Initiation of Ms Holly was released to critical acclaim and gained her the title of ‘best-selling author’. Having read this book, I can see it going the same way.

The Pet Shop is the story of workaholic Stella James. She loves her job and works ridiculous hours, which naturally leaves little time for a social life, let alone a sex life. A throwaway comment in the office results in a gift from the big boss that will change her life forever.

Her present, far from being the gift vouchers she expected, is a pet. A human pet. Tino arrives from The Pet Shop complete with a mischievous grin and an erection. To begin with, Stella is completely taken aback and has no idea how to react. But after Tino is left in her care for the weekend, she starts to understand the attraction – both of keeping pets and being one.

Not long afterwards, another male appears in Stella’s life. Reclusive philanthropist Vincent Evanston is powerful, rich and gorgeous. And he just happens to bear a striking resemblance to Tino. A chance encounter in a forest leads Stella to believe that Vincent and Tino are one and the same. But as Tino can’t talk and Vincent won’t, she’s left guessing.

Stella becomes increasingly obsessed with both men and will stop at nothing until she gets the answers she craves. But when she’s got to the bottom of the mystery, will she like what she finds?

The Pet Shop is unlike anything I’ve ever read before. I’m not going to give anything away, but let’s just say the plot is incredibly clever and imaginative and you’ll be totally sucked into the world K D Grace has created. The sex is smoking hot, the storyline intriguing, and the whole thing is so brilliantly written that you’ll emerge from the end gasping for breath. This book is a whirlwind of fun and naughtiness perfect for erotica fans.

K D Grace’s Book Launch at Sh! Hoxton

Last Friday, I attended the launch of K D Grace’s wonderful new novel, The Initiation of Ms Holly, at the Hoxton branch of Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium.  It was the first time I’d met K D, though we’d previously done lots of chatting via email and Facebook – and it was lovely to finally meet her face to face!

I also met Kay Jaybee (another fab erotic author) for the first time, and also caught up with Sarah Berry (editor of Foreplay Magazine) and Hazel Cushion (owner of Xcite Books). There was champagne and cupcakes, sex toys galore to set the scene, and of course, K D’s wonderful reading…

I don’t want to give too much away about the book, but you can see an excerpt over on Erotica For All. I’ve heard the excerpt read aloud, as well as a couple of other sections of the book, and let me tell you… it’s a red-hot read! I’ll be reviewing it soon enough, so watch this space if you don’t believe me!

So, what with all the networking…

…and erotic fiction… a fabulous evening was had by all!

My congratulations go to K D – and I hope to be able to attend similar cool events in the future!
