Dewcibox is a new product to the market which is based mainly around a subscription model – i.e. buyers can subscribe and get a box sent direct to their door each month, which contains a bunch of sexy products. One-off purchases are also available if you just wanted to try it out, or perhaps buy a box as a gift for someone.
The box I received was the April 2016 subscription, and it contained the following:
- Zuyosa Sexual Vitality Supplement for Men
- Ayumi: Sensual Massage, Bath & Body Oil
- PlayBoy Condoms: 2 Premium Latex Condoms
- Lovehoney: Magic Bullet 10 Function Vibrator
- Licx: Mix for Her
- Funkin: Mojito Mixer
- Milk Chocolate Hearts x 2
My first impressions were very favourable – as seen in the image above, the box looks classy, and is also well-made and well-presented. On opening it, I found my products wrapped in black tissue paper and nestled on a bed of black shredded paper. Looking good. The information leaflets that came with the Dewcibox were also physically of a high standard and were well-designed. However, the information itself could have done with a proofread for grammar, punctuation and consistency. Many folks wouldn’t have even noticed this, but the editor in me is always there, unfortunately, and I felt that this let the overall product down, given it’s otherwise of such a high standard.
The toys and other items themselves were also of a high standard, and there was plenty of variety, too. They’ve obviously been well thought out and carefully chosen.
Overall, this is an intriguing idea, and one I suspect will enjoy success. Keeping things interesting and fresh for those that do decide to subscribe on an ongoing basis could be a challenge, however. This is a product I’d recommend for sex toy newbies – or maybe someone heading off for a sexy weekend away or a honeymoon. For those who are much more into their toys, I’m not sure this could really offer them anything – possibly the offering is too tame.
I do think the pricing and potential saving is appealing, and the production value is high. The only let down is the errors on the printed literature. A tiny point in the scheme of things, but the company has obviously put in a hell of a lot of work here, so to make such a basic error is a shame. Also, to really round out the offering, I think it’d be a nice touch to also include batteries for any toys in the box, if they don’t already come with them. Imagine buying a box, putting it in a weekend bag and heading off, only to find at the crucial moment that you need a battery? Not good.

Hi everyone,
Prince Lestat,Ā the latest book in Anne Rice’s epicĀ The Vampire ChroniclesĀ series is one hell of a big read – especially in hardback format. But then, it’s telling one hell of a big story. Told from many, many points of view (so don’t rush reading it, or you risk getting lost or confused), Prince LestatĀ deals with a crisis in the vampire world. Young vampires are being slaughtered all over the world – nests being burned by ancient vampires. But why? It soon transpires that there is a bigger force at play, much bigger than the vampires that must come together and solve this problem before their race is completely wiped out.

Bad Angels was sent to me for review by the publisher, and I’m very glad they did. It’s not quite what you’d call erotica – I believe it’s classed as a bonkbuster. Basically, it contains sex scenes which are a little graphic, but not too full on.
