Out Now – Moondancing by Celia J Anderson (@celiaanderson1) #romance #contemporary #ebook

**Note to readers – this book is a NON-erotic romance. I’ve read it and it’s fab!**

MoondancingBlurb:

Together since their teens, Molly and Jake have four children, a house in a sleepy village and jobs that bore them to distraction. Their marriage is an accident waiting to happen. When Nick arrives in Mayfield, young, disturbed and in desperate need of mother-love, Molly doesn’t realise that he will be the catalyst that blows everything apart. Add a headmaster whose wife doesn’t understand him and Molly’s unpredictable, frustrated best friend to the mix, and the blue touch paper has been well and truly lit.

Excerpt:

‘But who’s going to do our lunch if Mum’s staying in bed?’ asks Max.

‘If people need things putting in boxes, they’ll have to find them and put them in themselves for once,’ says Jake through gritted teeth, as he tries to make toast, unload the dishwasher, find clean socks for Hattie’s netball match and avoid the small pile of cat-sick by the table leg. He sighs and mops up the squelchy mess on the floor before Theo spreads it around the kitchen with her big boots.

It’s only the third day of term so the foolproof system for school mornings hasn’t kicked in yet. Even the two kittens look offended, meowing around Theo’s feet as she rifles through her schoolbag for her lost homework.

Jake feels as if he’s dropped into some alien, much less relaxing world. His early morning routine usually involves sitting at the kitchen table drinking strong coffee and keeping some kind of order while Molly dashes around serving up milky tea, bacon sandwiches, and muesli. As she cling-films sandwiches, throws yogurts and chocolate biscuits into plastic bags and sorts out last-minute crises, she talks him through the day ahead. She likes him to know what’s going on.

Theo still hasn’t found her homework. Jake and Molly’s eldest daughter is reasonably chilled, as a rule, but today she’s in a filthy mood. Her form tutor has given a final warning that if anyone else comes to school with purple streaks in their hair, he’ll make them wear his grey woolly hat to lessons. Theo’s managed to cover the offending bit of her fringe with black poster paint, having run out of dye, but she knows if it rains things could go badly wrong.

Jake can hear Theo muttering as she abandons the homework search and opens a tin of food for the yowling kittens, gashing her finger in the process, and bleeding all over Sam’s newly-made tuna sandwiches. She spits out all the rudest words she knows, and so does Sam, which makes Hattie run round the table screaming, ‘He said the “F” word, Dad, and she said “bugger”.’

Jake’s patience, never his strong point, runs out. ‘At your age,’ he thunders, ‘me and my little brother did all the chores for our mum before breakfast, went to school without moaning, and then came back and did our paper rounds. We weren’t spoiled like you lot – you’re all an absolute disgrace.’

Theo pulls herself up to her full five feet four inches. She hasn’t been allowed to have a paper round due to Molly’s fear of possible rapists and muggers on the loose. It’s a peaceful village normally, but there’s a first for everything.

Loving Lies - Teaser Two

Excerpt:

Isabella hoped she was now safe from the Moors, yet what of the fakir? She kept witnessing his surprising strength. He appeared to have a sword hidden beneath his filthy robe. Now she saw the high boots he wore.

She backed up, ready to bolt. Before she could, he grabbed her wrist and looked over both shoulders. “Now we must run.”

She stared. He expected her to stay with him? To go where? To what end? She had no chance to ask and couldn’t match his mad pace. He tugged her roughly to follow. She winced at twigs, small rocks, and other debris digging into her bare feet. At last, she cried, “I cannot keep up.”

“You must.”

Despite his words, he slowed somewhat.

Mulberry trees swirled past. Greens smeared into browns, the sun darting between the heavy foliage. Isabella’s breaths came hard and fast. At last, she was so dizzy the ground gave out beneath her. Before she could fall, the fakir wrapped his arm around her waist, holding her firmly against him as he slowed to a brisk walk, forcing her to do the same.

She panted. “Where are you taking me?”

“To safety. Ask no more, lest someone hears you.”

No one was around. Even the guards had given up their chase. The only sounds were wind rustling foliage, their feet scattering fallen leaves, their breaths rushing out.

Good sense told her to fight him. She worried her struggle might make matters worse.

She tried to see the fakir’s face. He held her so tightly she caught only brief glimpses of his beard and cheekbone as he scanned the area. They continued for what seemed an eternity. No village appeared through the countless trees. Did he expect them to walk forever? Fatigued and disheartened, she pleaded. “I must stop.”

After a short distance, he helped her to a massive mulberry tree gnarled with age. Panting, she slumped against the rough trunk with him in front of her, his body huddled close.

Too close. His breathing slowed, his shaft stiffened, pressing against her thigh.

Her heart skipped several beats. She twisted to get away. He tightened his arm, trapping her.

She pushed against him. He didn’t budge. She frowned. “Release me.”

He looked at her.

Her mouth went dry. His face wasn’t lined as it should have been for an ancient man. His eyes were even more striking than she’d realized, lushly lashed, the color of honey, an inner heat burning within them that imprisoned her…until he casually stroked her hip. Blood drained from her face. Her robe had parted, revealing her nudity. She yanked the fabric over herself and tried to pull away. He wouldn’t allow her any freedom.

She spoke through her teeth. “I demand you release me.”

His beautiful eyes seemed to smile, while his embrace remained strong with none of this making sense. Although his beard and brows were filthy from the tunnel, they were still white. Yet, he wasn’t bent as he’d been in Granada. He stood at his full height, with it being considerable. Thinking back to their escape, Isabella realized when he’d spoken to her, he’d never sounded frail. His shoulders were broad beneath his robe, the look in his hooded eyes unmistakable. He was aroused.

She pressed against the trunk. “Who are you?”

His sensuous lips curled up in an unexpected and decidedly amused smile. “Your future husband.” His voice was rich and deep with a young man’s needs. “The man you will always yield to as a wife should.”

Before she could comment on such madness or scream, the fakir lowered his mouth to hers. She froze. He brushed his lips over hers, tempting, coaxing, not yet demanding. She whimpered and ordered herself to flee but couldn’t. He remained gentle and relentless as he teased the seam of her lips with his tongue.

She opened her mouth to protest, which allowed him to slip his tongue inside and kiss her longingly, patiently. Warmth rolled through her. He ran his fingers over her cheek. Her belly fluttered, her legs growing weaker.

He trailed his fingers down her throat, creating a burst of heat more surprising than the last, then slipped his hand inside her robe and cupped her breast. Her nipple tightened instantly against his calloused palm. His skin was dry and hot, his movements unhurried as he used the soft globe. Was he mad?

She tore her mouth away and shoved him back with all her strength. It wasn’t a fraction of his, but she’d caught him unaware.

As he struggled to regain his balance, she hurried around the tree.

He followed and smiled.

An Interview with Kacey Hammell (@kaceyhammell)

Thank you for sharing my newest release, ILLUSIONS! Good morning everyone!

Tell us a bit about yourself.  Who is Kacey?

It’s an interesting question since everyone has so many layers. The most important ones to me are wife, mom of three, farmer, dutiful daughter, school volunteer, sports momma and writer. I run a farm with my Mom, moved back on the homestead after my father’s death years ago and into one of the two houses on the property. My husband and I, as well as the kids, enjoy the life of cows, pigs and chickens – plus a dog, cat and hedgehogs. *g*  I’m a simple country girl at heart who likes to socialize and dress up once in a while.

What would we find you doing on a quiet Friday night at home (aside from writing)?

Usually a cuddlefest with the hubby and/or movie and game night with the family. We’re homebodies who would rather not fight crowds or traffic and can reconnect after a long work/school week with a lot of laughter, popcorn fights and someone yelling about a bad movie or a cheater who took too many rolls of the dice. LOL

What books/authors have most influenced your life?

I love everything Cherry Adair, Nora Roberts/JD Robb, Suzanne Brockmann, Sandra Brown, Sara Brookes, Lucy Felthouse, SJ Maylee, Cindy Gerard, Lisa Jackson, Lisa Gardner, Cynthia Sax, to name a few. Growing up it was Francine Pascal, Laura Wilder, Shakespeare, Elizabeth Barrett Browning to name a few of my childhood heroes.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I worked for a lawyer all through high school and really loved sitting in on court cases. Being her assistant was an awesome experience. However, I met a guy, had my first child, and found being a mother was more rewarding than anything. I also had an interest in forensic sciences and toyed with the idea of being a cop. But motherhood won in the end. Still does, but I found a great passion for writing that I couldn’t ignore. And now that my kids are getting older and starting to follow their own paths, it gives me more hours to write full time.

Now, about your story, ILLUSIONS. What can you tell us about it?

Illusions is the first of a detective/cop suspense series that I absolutely enjoyed writing. Isabella is a top cop in her precinct, she followed the legacy of her father, doesn’t do commitments, takes now shit from anyone and loves living life on her terms.

Brady is a P.I. who loves the ladies but there is only one woman for him. He and Isabella keep their relationship a secret from their friends and family, both sinking further and further into their need for one another, while also fighting it every step of the way.

There’s murder, kidnapping, a bomb, hurt feelings, complicated relationships, pasts that have a way of altering the future, a Seer whose visions are all too real every time, and a lot of heat between the sheets. Illusions is jam-packed with action, adventure and romance.

What influenced the idea for this story?

Illusions is the first book I ever wrote many years ago, has been revised and this is the third time it’s been released (due to contracts ending or publishing houses closing). The series was inspired by my love of cop shows, wanting to be a detective/lawyer when I was younger – dreams that since changed, and a vast interest in forensic sciences.

What was the most difficult to thing/scene to write in this story?

A lot of the writing was difficult. Isabella was a very difficult heroine to write. I guess she is a lot like me, the pain of the past haunts us both, but overall we’re stronger because of it. Her emotions run deep and it was tough to get beyond that and find what really drove her, peel her back layer by layer to the real woman inside. The heart to heart with her father probably affected me the most.

What makes this couple perfect for one another?

Isabella & Brady balance one another. He’s really laid back and takes things as they come. With his visions he becomes another man and they drive him in a way that nothing else can. Isabella is the opposite – laid back is hardly a part of her vocabulary – and is driven by the need to survive, take down criminals and keep her world safe. Opposites attract!! *g*  But they balance one another perfectly.

What do you hope readers take with them after they’ve read this story?

I hope they enjoy the story for the love story, the rough edges of all the characters and the world built. Each character is driven by something heavy and tragic for the most part that needs to be peeled back like an onion. I hope the readers fall in love with the characters as much as I have.

If this book is part of a series…what is the next book? Any details you can share?

Book 2, AWAKENINGS, releases late February 2016. In it, is Alicia Knowles (Isabella’s cousin), who suffers traumatically in ILLUSIONS so we’ll discover more about Alicia and her recovery in her own story. Plus she has a new boss whom she isn’t too keen on working with.

Fun stuff…

Dean or Sam Winchester?  Dean preferably, but both if possible! *g*

Wolf or cat shifters? Both.

The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones? GOT! I hate zombies!

Wine or beer? Wine

Coffee or Tea? Tea these days.

What place to travel is on your Bucket List? Ireland is #1 on my list.

Was it love at first sight for you when you met your spouse? Yes. Kind of – see next question. LOL

What did you notice first when you met your spouse? His tush – he was on a ladder. *g* Yes, there’s a story there! *g*

Illusions_Brady

Excerpt, Kacey Hammell, © 2016

Replacing the receiver, she sighed, resigned to leave the comfort of her bed. “Got to go to work, Izzy?”

Brady’s voice came from behind her and not for the first time, Isabella wondered if he realized he used so many variants of her name. She had noticed it a lot in the last few weeks but didn’t think he did. Tonight, for some reason, it bothered her more than ever.

When he was driving into her or when they were warm and cozy, sharing a few quiet moments, he called her Bella. She found herself coming to enjoy every time the name rolled off his tongue. It was special to her but she didn’t want to dwell on why at the moment. Instead, she counted off in her head his use of Isabella.

When they were around others, coworkers or just talking in general, he used her full name. At times like this, when interrupted by her job, he used Izzy in a distant, unaffected tone. The tag was starting to grate on her nerves.

She twisted on an angle toward him, unable to keep from caressing his body with her gaze. The sheet only covered his hips and navel, leaving his abs and biceps exposed to her hungry eyes.

What I wouldn’t give for ten more minutes with him tonight.

“Umm, yeah. It was Connor. I have to go. A woman who’s been missing for thirty-six hours was found dead down by the docks.” She headed to her closet as Brady got off the bed.

“Damn. Connor suspects foul play?”

Pulling a denim shirt from her closet and a pair of jeans, Isabella turned to look at him as he grabbed his clothes. Her breath hitched as he covered his tight ass with his Jockeys and jeans. It was a shame to see such perfection hidden.

With a small shake of her head, Isabella pulled herself from her musings and reached into her top dresser drawer for panties and a bra. “Yeah. The woman’s been missing for over a day and from what he said, she’s naked.” Her hands shook as she put on her panties and willed herself to calm down and think it all through.

“Connor didn’t say much else.” Turning her back to Brady, she shook out her jeans, put both legs in and pulled them up. So lost in her thoughts and trying to get a grip on her emotions, she didn’t hear him come up behind her, until he placed his hands on her shoulders.

“Do you want me to go with you, Izzy? I’ll assist in any way I can.”

Touched beyond means by his offer, she turned in his arms. “Thanks, but no.

You know I’ve been through it all before. Don’t make it a bigger deal than it has to be. I’ve seen this kind of thing many times, over and over.”

She sounded like a bitch but couldn’t let the fact they were having sex get in the way of her job. They had an unspoken agreement, no commitments, and let one another do what they had to do, never coddling each other or making bigger issues of anything.

“I know you have, Izzy, but sometimes…. Hell, never mind. It’s cool.” She could tell by the look in his eyes he was frustrated but didn’t want to show it.

Good, let him be pissed, irritated or anything other than caring. She understood he was a man used to taking care of others, but she’d be damned before she leaned on him.

After taking her gun from where it was locked up, she clipped the holster to the waistband of her slacks and adjusted it to where she liked it. Pulling her hair back into a scrunchie, she turned to face her lover, certain she had her emotions in check. “Thanks for coming over tonight. It was, as always, the exact thing I needed.”

For just a moment, she saw an emotion—maybe anger—cross his face, but it was gone so quickly she might have imagined it.

With what looked like a forced smile to her, Brady shrugged. “Always here for you, babe, whenever you have an itch.” His voice held the cold, detachment she was coming to dislike. He grabbed up his leather jacket near the door, but stopped before crossing the threshold. He turned to her, staring at her in a way she had never seen before. “I know you won’t—seriously know you won’t—but if you happen to need me, I’m only a phone call away.”

She couldn’t even ascertain what sensations spread through her body at his words. As she watched him walk out of her bedroom, she could identify only one emotion.

Loss.

Feeling like she was on a tightrope easily broken at any moment, she shook herself of her musings as she heard the front door close. She patted her pockets and sides. Keys, badge, gun. She was ready to face the night ahead. Detective Isabella Knowles, one of Trenton’s finest, was ready to catch the bad guys.

Too bad she couldn’t allow herself to be caught. Love and the badge didn’t mix. For a few short hours she could let her hair down, let her lover drive himself into her body and fill her thoughts.

But she’d never let a man drive himself into her heart. Never.

Waking the Lioness by Amber Morgan (@AmberMothling)

Waking the LionessI’m a werewolf girl first and foremost, but my second-favourite shifter is definitely the werecat. Although the term “werecat” only really came about in the 1970s, there’s been myths and legends about humans turning into cats forever. In European folklore there are stories of witches turning into domestic cats. In Africa, leopard gods and goddesses would take human form and mate with mortals, and their offspring would be shapeshifters (hmm, now there’s a story idea…). In Asia, the ghosts of people killed by tigers could become evil beings called Chang, who made sure that tigers killed even more people!

And in America, where WAKING THE LIONESS is set, we have were-jaguars. In Mesoamerican cultures, priests and shamans would wear jaguar skins to become jaguars themselves. There are also stories of bipedal felines – kind of like Bigfoot, but, you know, cats. There doesn’t seem to be much about shapeshifting mountain lions, but that’s the beauty of being a writer – I can make it up! I’m hoping that WAKING THE LIONESS will be the first in a series of werecat stories, because there’s just so much to explore! In the mean time, I’m looking forward to you meeting, Lara, Zane, and Tate, and getting to know my werecats very, very intimately.

Excerpt

She smiled, hoping she didn’t look as nervous as she felt. “Is Tate the jealous type?” she asked, flexing her fingers. Zane let out a long sigh.

“Lara, this isn’t—”

She moved in front of him, sliding her hand down his torso until she cupped his balls. Another ragged sigh. Lara licked her lips and kissed his throat, nipping lightly. The smell of male arousal mingled with her own musk. She kept her eyes on Tate as she teased Zane, raking her nails over his balls and rubbing her thumb across that soft, sensitive stretch of flesh beneath, just the way he loved. If Tate was the jealous type, she could be making a major mistake here, one she’d never recover from.

But Tate didn’t look angry or jealous as the dull glaze faded from his eyes. He looked…curious.

Zane groaned as she encircled his hardening cock. He pulled her hard against him, crushing her breasts to him with just the right balance of pleasure-pain. She whimpered as he dug his fingers into her hips, silently urging her on.

She worked her hand slowly up and down his shaft, her other hand making lazy trails up and down his chest. It had been so long since she’d been with anyone. The slightest contact burned like wildfire, and this was Zane, the only man she’d ever loved. Breathless with desire, wound tight with need, it was impossible to pretend she did this only to force Tate into a shift. She was doing this all for her own selfish pleasure and she wasn’t going to stop. And if Zane’s reaction to her touch was anything to go by, he didn’t want her to.

On the bed, Tate raised his head and chirped at Zane. Zane raised his head, a little growl escaping his lips. “You know the rules. You want in, you shift,” he said in a voice thick and throaty with desire.

The words caught Lara off-guard. They implied so much with so little. So much history, past threesomes maybe. Her heart skipped. Did Zane think… Would she even…?

Her stomach filled with butterflies as she realized she would. Dammit, she was so starved for skin contact, so – yes, still so in love with Zane, that she would. She’d take both men. Excitement raced through her. She’d take them both and savor the thrill of it.

Tate shook his head and pushed himself up, his wounded back leg clearly hampering him. Lara’s hand faltered for a second, worried he’d hurt himself worse, but then Zane’s hand closed over hers. “Finish what you started,” he growled.

EXCERPT

He stroked her palm, and when she didn’t pull her hand away, hope began to build. He wanted to push the emotion away and stop this, but he couldn’t. This girl had captivated him, and he was powerless in her presence.

“Why do you say that? Why do you think you need to?”

She gazed at him with dry eyes now, filled with clarify and purpose. “Because I’m ready to move on. I’m ready to start living again. I don’t want to dishonor his memory, but he’d want me to be happy and I’m not. I don’t mean in my work. I love my work. I mean…”

He sighed because he knew exactly what she meant. “You mean you’re lonely, right? Your days are filled with meaningful things to do, but then at night, when the fake sun goes down, the dark creeps in and you wish you could change everything about your life, but you don’t know how or where to start.”

She stared at him as if he had lobsters crawling on his face. “How did you do that?” she whispered. “How did you reach into my head and nail it, just like that?”

“Because I feel the same way, Rissa.”

“But … forgive me, but you’re in the tabloids constantly. You’re never without a date.”

“It’s a ruse. I don’t want to be that person any longer.”

She looked really uncomfortable, glanced at the pitcher, which was nearly empty, and pulled her hand out of his grasp. Then she pushed her margarita glass away. “Guess we’ve both had enough to drink.”

“I’m not drunk. And I’m sorry if you feel I’ve said too much. You’re very easy to be with and talk to.”

“You talk to people all the time, Barclay.”

He took her hand again, unable to stop himself. He wanted this woman, and he knew she wanted him, too. He could feel it in the air, hanging between them, and it wasn’t the tequila talking. “Yes, I do, but there’s something about you that has me spellbound, Rissa.”

She definitely wasn’t drunk, but then neither was he, and as she pulled her hand away again and rose, he realized he needed to tell her that.

“Barclay, don’t misunderstand me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work on this project with you, but I have no intentions of becoming your next conquest. I think we need to make some coffee or drink some water, or something. Then we should get back to work.”

She picked up the pitcher and their glasses, and he followed her into the kitchen. “I’m not drunk.”

“Good to know.”

“Rissa, you want me as much as I want you.”

He saw her back stiffen, and then watched her place the pitcher and glasses on the counter, but she didn’t turn to face him.

“You do, don’t you?” He spoke softly now, not wanting to frighten her.

“Not the point.”

“It’s exactly the point.”

“I’m not going to do this.” Her voice shook, but not from fear. She was as aroused as he was.

“Why not?”

“I told you.”

“I don’t want to conquer you. I just want to make love to you.”

“You don’t even know me.”

“You’re worked for me almost a year. I do know you.”

She finally turned to face him, and his damn dick was so hard now it was painful. The look on her face made him want to hold her for the rest of his life.

“The last man I had sex with was Harry. That was over seven years ago.”

He hadn’t expected that. Barclay’s feet finally worked, and he moved toward her slowly. When he reached where she stood, he resisted the urge to simply pull her into his arms. Instead he placed a hand on each shoulder, and the shaky intake of her breath tugged at his heart. She blinked against wet eyes again, and he hoped like hell it wasn’t because she suddenly wished she was anywhere but here.

“Then I will be very, very careful.”

Blurb:

Surrender is the only option she desires.

Taming the Beast, Book 3

No one believes that under the tough attitude and schoolgirl fashion sense, reformed demon Zoe burns for a man, love, and sex. She keeps those urges on ice and well hidden. She sold her soul for a guy once, and all it got her was a one-way ticket to Hell.

Her job, keeping supernatural creatures in line at From Crud to Stud, is all work and no play. Until she’s saddled with a trio of new enforcers who ooze so much sexual heat she’s afraid to be on the same planet with them.

Stefin, Anatol, and Taro try to contain their laughter as their adorable new boss tries to lay down the law. Apparently, no one told her they don’t take orders. They give them.

And they’re determined to smooth her rough edges and tame her beast with acts so wanton they’ll make her scream—for more.

Talk about all hell breaking loose. Surrender won’t come easily, but given their devilish charm and her aching need, her journey to submission is one done deal.

Warning: Contains an unholy trio of demons who don’t like to take turns. Break room… snacking. After-hours…training sessions. In other words, a sensual ride on the pleasure express. Features m/f/m/m sex in every flavor except vanilla. Bring. It. On.

Teaser 2

Excerpt:

He tightened his arms against his chest, which rippled his massive biceps.

Zoe’s lips parted at that rugged display of male prowess and his sexy-as-hell tat.

“From this moment forward, you’re working for us,” Stefin said. “Doing whatever we demand, including taking care of our carnal needs. Trust me, there are many. We call the shots, not you. We’re in command, not—”

He didn’t finish. Couldn’t actually. Flinging her hand, Zoe released a good deal of her pent-up power that she’d promised never to use again. She’d tried to be nice and where had it gotten her? Stefin saying she was going to be his office and sex slave.

Yeah, right.

With a thunderous crack and a flash of blazing light, she was suddenly outside the room while the three men were locked inside. Hopefully for good.

Constance turned into the hall and stopped mid-step, her full-length gown swishing around her legs. Its dusty-rose color matched her turban, complementing her ebony complexion. She stared at Zoe and walked slowly around her.

Looking over, Zoe turned in time with Constance until they were both moving in tight circles.

Dizzy, Zoe stopped. “What?”

Constance pointed at Zoe’s clothes.

She looked down, surprised her blouse was unbuttoned to her waist. When had that happened? One of its tails hung out of her skirt, which was unfastened and had fallen to the tops of her thighs.

Swearing beneath her breath, Zoe buttoned, zipped and smoothed her clothes until she was back to her old self, pissed and smokin’ away. Damn.

Constance regarded the treatment room. The old door was gone, replaced by a thick steel one, the kind used for a bank vault or a morgue, to keep stuff inside. Constance leaned toward Zoe. “Who, or what, is in there?”

“Jerks.”

She regarded Zoe’s outfit and then her mouth.

Zoe stepped back. Her lips felt as if they were twice their usual size from Stefin’s hard and ruthless kiss. Passion that went so deep she could still taste him on her tongue. Her pussy couldn’t have gotten any wetter, her soft folds plumper.

Tapping her finger against her cheek, Constance smiled conspiratorially. “Someone’s been bad.”

“They started it.”

“They?”

“I don’t want to talk about it.” She pivoted and strode down the hall.

Catching up, Constance grabbed Zoe’s arm and dragged her back. “Ah hon, you can’t leave them in there forever. By the way, how many are we talking about? What are they exactly? Vamps? Weres? Satyrs? Zom—”

“SOBs. Three of them, all right?”

“If you say so.” She lifted her hands. “I’ll just remove those nasty memories from you, and you’ll be as good as new.”

Zoe backed up so quickly, her ass hit the wall. She looked over at it and then back at Constance. “Don’t touch my head or one freaking memory.”

Constance gave her a knowing smile. “Wouldn’t think of it.” She dropped her hands. “Those pricks must be something if you want to remember them that badly.”

Zoe spoke through her teeth. “Even you couldn’t erase the stuff they just did.” Those memories were burned in her mind for all of eternity.

“Oh yeah?” Constance grinned. “That good, huh?”

Freaking amazing and hopeless since their lust for her wouldn’t last long. It never did with guys like that. This was about taming her, having their way. Lots of luck with that since she wasn’t playing.

“Come on,” Constance coaxed, “tell me. Maybe I can help.”

Yeah, sure—wait. Maybe she could remove their memories and they wouldn’t recall ever having been here. They could go somewhere else and bother other female demons.

Zoe smiled and then frowned at the thought of them with someone else. Finally, she sighed, knowing that was the only way to get them out of her life before they did real damage. “Okay, here’s what happened. First, he’s all over me, then they strip, then he tells me I’m here to do his bidding in bed and out like everyone died and made him the freaking ruler of Heaven, Hell and Earth. Can you imagine?”

Constance’s dark eyes sparkled with interest. “Absolutely, I’ve had fantasies like that. They’re real cavemen, huh?”

“He thought I was smoking to turn him on.”

“Well, hey, as long as he’s cute, it doesn’t matter if he’s not the brightest bulb in the pack.”
