I figured that some of the stories I have in anthologies probably don’t get as much exposure (if you’ll pardon the pun) as my single-author stories, so I’ve decided that I’ll post a few sexy snippets for you over the next few weeks. Here’s an excerpt from my story, Desperate Measures, which appears in an Xcite Books anthology of the same name. Enjoy! 🙂

By the time Poppy had finished rooting through all her various toys and props and gone back to her computer, the new account on the webcam chat site she’d signed up for had been approved. All she had to do now was set up an anonymous profile, add a photo, post an ad and wait for the offers to come in.

It didn’t take long. The photo she’d posted wasn’t brilliant quality, as she’d taken it with the webcam and uploaded it directly, but it sure was sexy. After closing the curtains and checking there was nothing to identify her within sight, she’d posed in front of the webcam—which was still perched on her computer monitor—in the mask, some sexy black lingerie and a matching feather boa. It had obviously done the trick. The first message simply said ‘u r very sexy’ so Poppy deleted it immediately. She wouldn’t tolerate time wasters. When the site refreshed, she already had another note in her inbox. It was much more promising, too.

Hi Jane0874, it said, love that profile pic. You are gorgeous. Would love to have some fun with you. So what do you do, and how much?

That gave Poppy pause. What did she do? There wasn’t much she wouldn’t do—after all, she was limited as to what she could do herself in front of a camera—so what to say? And how much to charge? After thinking for a few minutes, Poppy typed out a reply.

Hi Jase69—Poppy had to snigger at the name—why not make me an offer?

Hitting ‘send’ she sat back and waited. A reply came back almost instantly.

How about a striptease? £10?

Poppy grinned. This guy was easily pleased. He was also going to get the performance of a lifetime. She’d once attended a workshop at a nearby women’s sex emporium on how to drive a man wild with a striptease. After the initial embarrassment of doing it in front of complete strangers, and a couple of glasses of wine, Poppy had actually really enjoyed herself. She’d dashed home after the class and demonstrated her new-found skills to her boyfriend at the time. He’d been very impressed; even slipping a £20 note into the front of her G-string, waiting until she was completely naked and fucking her brains out right there on the living room floor. She’d had carpet burns for days afterward.

Answering ‘Jase69’ in the affirmative, Poppy then looked around the room. It was the room she used as an office so it was functional and tidy, but not exactly seductive. Reaching forward to pick up the webcam, she pulled it towards her to see how long the lead was that attached it to the computer. Not very long at all. It certainly wasn’t long enough to reach through the adjoining door and into her bedroom. Shrugging, Poppy decided it would have to do for now. She could always get an extension lead if her money making scheme took off.

As she put the webcam back in its original position, her email pinged. Opening her new message, Poppy scanned it and raised her eyebrows under the mask. This was going to be easier than she thought. A donation had been received from ‘Jase69’, and she hadn’t even done anything yet. Firing off a quick message to her first ‘customer’, Poppy dashed into her bedroom to get ready. She was still in the black lingerie and feather boa that she’d worn to take the profile photo, which was fine, but she needed more layers on top to strip out of, or it would all be over far too quickly.

Poppy quickly selected her outfit and pulled it on. Looking at herself in the mirror, she nodded with satisfaction. It wasn’t particularly original, but the nurse’s outfit was an old faithful that most guys loved. Perhaps in future she’d list the outfits she had and give them the choice, but for now this would have to do. Considering the way the neckline of the skimpy dress pushed her tits up and out, Poppy was pretty sure she’d have no complaints. She couldn’t get the cap on over her mask, so she just swapped the feather boa for the fake stethoscope, added a pair of sexy stilettos and strutted back into the office.

Poppy flicked on the webcam and fired off another message to ‘Jase69’ to let him know she was ready. He must have been waiting, as seconds later an instant messaging window popped up and a little icon appeared. Poppy squinted at it and frowned. Then the penny dropped. The picture was of two tiny fists, giving her the ‘thumbs up.’ Smiling, she nodded at the camera then clicked play on the song she’d selected to dance to. Stepping back, she counted in the beat and waited for the song to start properly. Then she began her routine.
