Bad Boys of the Ice by Lily Harlem (@lily_harlem)

Hi Lucy, thanks so much for inviting me to your blog. You know I love being your guest, it’s always so cosy and warm here and never any shortage of hotties!

MisconductI’ve dropped in to tell you about my new release, Misconduct, the 6th book in my Hot Ice Series. The Hot Ice books are great read in order but it really doesn’t matter as they standalone as individual novels. The team, the Vipers, stays the same but each story follows the love and lust of a new player and a lucky lady (or guy) who captures their interest.

I love writing about these bad boys of the ice, they just keep on demanding to have their stories told and as long as readers keep on enjoying them I’ll keep on writing them.

HiredThe first book in the series is Hired which won Best First Chapter and Best Cover – Readers Choice, D Renee Bagby – and recently hit the #1 spot on the Amazon Erotic Romance Charts. The second book Cross-Checked won Best Sports Romance of 2012 at Sizzling Book Reviews, the 3rd novel Slap Shot is my personal favorite (perhaps because it features the kinky captain of the team!), the 4th, Teamwork, is mĂŠnage a trois, what’s not to love about TWO hot hockey players giving it their best shot in the bedroom with one very happy girl? The 5th book, High-Sticked also graced the Amazon Chart recently and rode high in the Gay Romance top 10 for several weeks. High-Sticked is the only m/m book in the series, Todd, a super-star player and all round gorgeous guy, just had to have his story told!

High-StickedNow Misconduct has been released into the world and I’m looking forward to seeing what readers make of the goaltender, Dustin ‘Speed’ Reed. He’s fast and furious, cocky and charming and has a heart of gold. He also has a few dark desires that he just ‘has’ to follow through on. Phew, I lurve him!

When it came to picking a heroine for Misconduct I chose Gina. She’s the daughter of the owner of the Vipers hockey team, Fergal Gunner, and gets well and truly thrown in at the deep end with the players when her father is taken ill and she has to take over. It’s just as well she’s able to handle herself amongst all those testosterone-overdosed guys because before long she’s juggling more than just the team’s books!

Misconduct

Manage the Vipers hockey team! Me? Well, that’s my role now. Shame a gorgeous, cocky-assed goaltender is testing my patience. Sweet cheeks—really, is that any way to refer to the boss? Dustin “Speed” Reed certainly seems to think so.

It’s okay though. I’ll escape to my billionaire father’s paradise retreat. Except Dustin decides to jump on for the ride. Then the tension really heats up, hotter than the scorching midday sun.

I want to slap him and kiss him. Push him away and rip off his clothes. The feeling is mutual—a potent cocktail of anger mixed with lust. I know we shouldn’t. It can’t end well, especially when I’m going give him the sack as soon as I push him out of it.

But what’s the fun in having rules if no one ever breaks them? I’ll take what I can, give him what he wants and worry about balancing the books tomorrow. Surely my heart will be fine.

Slap ShotIf you like hot hockey players or just hot athletes in general, then you might want to check out the entire Hot Ice Series . Also, indulge in a few steamy pictures on my  Pinterest page – I have the real thing, hot ice and High-Sticked boards. There’s also a great new one-stop-shop website to cater for all your hockey romance needs – Hockey Romance with it’s own Facebook Page.

Lucy, thank you again for having me ‘skate’ on over to your place. Wishing everyone a lovely day full of fictional delights!

Celebrate the New Year with a 30% Rebate!

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year – hope you had fantastic fun celebrations! Here’s to an awesome 2014. Mine got off to a great start with an acceptance email last night, and as I have a Henry Cavill calendar on my wall for this year, I’m always going to have something delicious to look at 😉

Here’s another way to celebrate and heat up those brand new eReaders (and the old ones, too!) – Ellora’s Cave titles on All Romance eBooks currently have a 30% rebate for January.

So you can bag A Taste of London, A Taste of Paris, Grand Slam, Mean Girls and Illicit Relations with a 30% rebate. How cool is that?!

I also noticed that Grand Slam and Mean Girls appear to be reduced on Amazon, too. I’m not sure why, but hey, if you haven’t got these books already, go grab ’em while they’re cheap! I do love a bargain 😀

Happy New Year, and Happy Reading!

2013 Round Up!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and are looking forward to fun New Year celebrations. While I am looking forward to 2014 and what it will bring, I’d also like to reflect on 2013 and what I achieved. I don’t often blow my own trumpet, so it’s cool to remind myself of what I’ve done. Here are a few highlights, in no particular order:

My total publication count was 30, which includes print and eBooks. This is the same total as last year, but I’m definitely not beating myself up over that, because I’ve had much longer stuff released and have been working on more novellas and novels. I also don’t count reprints.

I also totted up my word count. This includes works not yet finished or submitted, as well as published works, and I achieved a whopping 377,041 words this year. I’m very proud of that, especially since I don’t write full-time, and I don’t even write every day.

Here’s a photo of the paperbacks I’ve been in this year – click the image to enlarge.

2013pubs

All in all, it’s been an awesome 2013! I already have books lined up for 2014 so it’s already off to a promising start. I’m looking forward to it.

Happy New Year!

My Sexy Saturday #10 – #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

Welcome back to My Sexy Saturday. This is where writers post either 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs from their published work or work in progress, sticking to the week’s theme. This week’s theme is I just had sexy. So I’ve selected a snippet from my co-authored BDSM erotic romance novel, Grand Slam. This is the morning after Travis and Marie’s first time, you know 😉

Sunday morning passed in a blur of fucking and fried food. It was completely and utterly unhealthy sustenance, but at some point in the night Marie and I had had a sleepy conversation about things we missed about home—and an English breakfast was one of them. I’d resolved to make one when we got up—which was closer to lunchtime than breakfast time.

I didn’t have all of the essential ingredients in my fridge, unfortunately—it seemed black pudding was elusive in L.A.—but I did a damn good job of the bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, sausages and baked beans. Marie was in charge of making us each a mug of English breakfast tea while I was working my culinary magic—or at least it smelled like magic.

When we finally sat at the table, me in shorts and a t-shirt, Marie in last night’s dress, we shared an excited grin before tucking in. “Oh my God,” Marie said, after chewing and swallowing a mouthful of food, “that is so good. I think we may have made a mistake here. After eating this, we’ll be booking the next flights home!”

I laughed. “I know what you mean. The bacon and sausages aren’t quite what we’d get in England, but they’ll do in a pinch. At some point I’ll find one of those supermarkets that sells proper British food.”

“Oh yeah!” Marie said, waving her fork around excitedly. “You’ll have to let me know when you find one. I haven’t had a bar of proper Cadbury’s chocolate in far too long! Like six days or something. The stuff they have over here just doesn’t taste the same. It’s a different recipe or something.”

“Oh you’re a chocoholic, are you?” It suddenly occurred to me how little I really knew about her and I resolved to try to rectify that.

“Not just chocolate. Pretty much anything sweet. I have a real sweet tooth.”

My Sexy Saturday #9 – #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

Welcome back to My Sexy Saturday. This is where writers post either 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs from their published work or work in progress, sticking to the week’s theme. This week’s theme is sexy men. I had plenty to choose from, so I had to decide on one – Travis Connolly from my co-authored BDSM erotic romance novel, Grand Slam.

I felt as though I was going to fall backward so shot out my hand and touched the lip of the unit holding the sinks. Steadied my weak knees.

In the shower, in the female changing room, was a man. Naked, toned, dark-haired and delicious. He stood with his back to me, his head and neck lowered and his palms pressed to the tiles as his shoulders took a thrashing from the heavy downward spray.

His butt was a fraction paler than the rest of his sun-kissed skin. Pert and small, perhaps clenched too, judging by the dents in the outer edges.

I knew I should go. Get the hell out of there. But what was a guy doing in the female changing room? Indignation and surprise kept my feet stuck, as though they were lead weights anchored to the floor.

Suddenly he straightened, turned and gave me a full frontal view.

His eyes were shut and that was my undoing. Because that exquisite moment of seeing Travis Connolly, unguarded and in all his naked, dark-haired, tight-muscled glory, was not something any red-blooded woman could turn away from.
He shoved both of his hands through his hair, flattening it over his head, and then stared straight at me.

You can buy Grand Slam here.

New Reviews for Mean Girls and Grand Slam

Hi everyone, and happy Friday!

I’m just dropping by to let you know about some new reviews I received.

Mean Girls, my Rubenesque erotic romance novella from Ellora’s Cave, got praise from two places:

“Some of my favorite romances aren’t the traditionally handsome man and/or skinny pretty woman. I like to read about real people so when I got the chance to read this I was excited. Oliver also has some goofy moments which was a nice change. He sticks his foot in his mouth and isn’t all that smooth with Adele. It made him more likeable and genuine.” The Jeep Diva

“This was a sexy foray into the inner life of what it can mean to be a plus size girl in a world made for women who are model thin. Being a curvy girl myself, I could completely identify with the horrible feelings you have to endure as someone who is a little larger than most women. A great story with some sexy scenes!” 4 out of 5, Erzabet Bishop

You can grab Mean Girls here: https://www.lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/mean-girls/

And Grand Slam, the sexy sports romance novel I co-authored with Lily Harlem, also got two new reviews:

“This hot and steamy sports themed book has it all. I enjoyed Grand Slam a lot! …very well written with a lot of attention paid to details – particularly the details of their sexual romps which are scorching hot! Overall, it’s an erotic romance that teases and definitely pleases your literary senses.” 4 out of 5, The Jeep Diva

“The chemistry between Travis and Marie is hot. The sex scenes were sizzling. Overall, this was an interesting story one that should appeal to both vanilla readers and BDSM readers. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.” 4 out of 5, Night Owl Reviews

You can grab Grand Slam here: https://www.lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/grand-slam/

I look forward to sharing more reviews with you soon 🙂
