Heartbreak on a Stick by Sabrina York

When A-List movie star Jason Sherwood returns to the hometown that once rejected him, he has one goal in mind: Getting revenge on the woman who broke his heart so many years ago. But when he discovers his assumptions about her were wrong, he only wants to win her back. Hopefully, it’s not too late.

Gina Fox has always pined for her high school lover…and now he has returned, turning her world upside down. But life isn’t as simple now as it was then. And she can’t get over the fact that Jason walked away from her without a word. When he launches a sultry seduction, she tries, with everything in her, to resist…because at his core, Jason is nothing but heartbreak on a stick.

Read an excerpt:

“Gina.”

Hell. Even now, she heard his voice, dancing on the breeze.

“Gina.”

Louder now. More substantive.

Her heart lurched. Her head swung around. She stared.

Oh shit.

This was not a fantasy or her imagination or even a wish. He was here.

She scrambled to her feet and brushed off her butt, forcing her knees to lock, even though they wobbled. “Jace— Um, Jason.”

He was tall. Much taller than he’d been. And broad. His shoulders were breathtaking. And his muscles—muscles the boy had not had, honed through years of working out for parts, no doubt—filled his tight black T-shirt.

She ripped her gaze away from the tantalizing bulges to the lines of his face. Gawd. Tantalizing there too. His lips—which she remembered, tasted still—full and lush. His dark eyes were fringed with sinful lashes. The scar on his right eyebrow, the dimples, the curve of his cheek.

It was difficult to breathe.

“I-I didn’t expect to see you here.”

He smiled and something in her gut quivered. “I didn’t expect to see you.” He took a step closer. And another. “You… look good.” His throat worked.

“You, ah, you too.” Good was not the word.

She’d drooled over the TV screen Sunday nights when Blood Curse came on—the few times she’d dared to watch. Jason as a tormented vampire was irresistible. But his screen persona was nothing to his presence here now. He was like a beautiful spider’s web, luring her closer for one more glance when she knew, if she came too close, she would be trapped, consumed.

Her instincts told her to run.

She resolved not to. She resolved to face him. And be…civil.

To that end, she smiled. It was a light, flippant smile. It cost her. “Aren’t you supposed to be having a parade or something?”

A shadow passed over his features, as though he didn’t care for her blasé air. “Or something.” He shoved his hands in his pockets.

“You really shouldn’t miss it.”

“Shouldn’t I?” He got that tone, the one he used to get when he was feeling rebellious and truculent. He’d never used it on her before.

“Eden will be devastated.”

“Oh, well, God forbid I disappoint Eden Ames.” He strolled around her, taking her in, though she turned with him because it seemed the prudent thing to do. One did not turn one’s back on a petulant panther.

“She dislikes being disappointed.”

This seemed to annoy him. The muscle in his cheek tightened and bunched. He leaned in and hissed, “Fuck Eden Ames. Fuck all of them.”

She didn’t know why she lurched back. His vehemence, perhaps, the heat of his breath, or the vitriol. But she lurched back and kept going, as he followed, until she backed into a tree.

He loomed over her, far too close. And Lord, yes. He was much taller. He smelled the same though, like musk and man and Jason. She’d missed his scent. She’d missed it so much she was tempted to close her eyes and just breathe it in, fill her lungs with him until she could hold no more.

But she couldn’t close her eyes. Her gaze was riveted to his.

Tension crackled and spit between them.

When he edged closer, she set a hand on his chest. To hold him back. Probably. His heart thudded beneath her palm.

He was harder than he used to be. Oh, physically, certainly, but in other ways as well. There was a coldness in his eyes she’d never seen before.

It frightened her. And thrilled her.

She flinched when he lifted a hand and cupped her cheek. His touch was warm, gentle. He didn’t say anything, just stared at her, which was unnerving. But when he spoke, his words were more unnerving still, though whispered as they were. “Dear God, Gina, how are you even prettier?”

“I—”

He didn’t let her answer. His mouth closed over hers in a heated rush. A dizzying hunger snarled through her as she tasted him on her tongue. Yes, her soul cried, yes! Yes!

He moved closer, pressing her against the tree, sealing their bodies and their mouths and ravishing her with an unleashed passion.

She’d forgotten. Well, maybe not forgotten, but certainly released her hold on the memory. It was far too painful to live without him. To wake up every day knowing her life was devoid of the brilliance he brought.

Now it all came rushing back in a scorching tide, swamping her, spinning her about and sweeping her quickly toward the oblivion of the fall.

His kiss was a tumult. It was passion and need and wild frenzy. It was lips and teeth and tongues. It was murmured whispers and muffled moans.

He shoved his fingers through her hair to hold her still, then tipped her head and ate his way down to her neck, to nuzzle her there as he once had done. To make her wild and mad. To make her succumb when she really knew better.

She knew better now. She knew where this could lead, what catastrophe they taunted.

And the true tragedy?

She didn’t care.

She didn’t care that this could ruin her, devastate her, burn her up from the inside out.

She didn’t care.

Kiss me. Take me. Destroy me.

Sunday Snog – Desert Heat

Sunday Snog

Unconditional SurrenderIt’s time for another Sunday Snog, yay! This week, I’m sharing a snog from my upcoming m/m military novella, Desert Heat, which is part of the Unconditional Surrender bundle. It’s due for release on the 13th October, and is available for pre-order now at just $0.99/77p!

“I don’t, either,” he murmured, looking into Wilkes’ eyes. “Everything you have just said, I’ve been feeling it too. And I think the only option available to us right now is to give in to it. Give in to what we want, and go from there. The situation can hardly get more awkward, can it?”

Only if someone catches us.

The thought dissolved as rapidly as it had appeared when Rustam slipped a hand behind Wilkes’ neck and pulled him in for a kiss.

As soon as their lips touched, Wilkes knew there was no going back. Not now.

The kiss was rough, needy. Their hands wandered, grasped, gripped as their mouths battled for dominance, their gasps and groans filling the room.

Tingles erupted throughout Wilkes’ body as his brain finally caught up with what was happening. He was getting the very thing he’d been thinking about for months. Letting go of any modicum of restraint he might have had, Wilkes deepened the kiss. Tongues tangled, stubble scratched against goatee, teeth clashed, grips increased.

Blood thundering through his veins, Wilkes was utterly overtaken by lust, any thoughts of consequences chased from his mind as Balkhi gave as good as he got. Shifting his hands up to Balkhi’s shoulders, Wilkes shoved him roughly, following his backward momentum and bearing down until they were lying on the floor, Wilkes on top. Now he could feel more of the other man, more than just his lips and hands. Firm thighs and hard torso pressed against his, and between the two, an insistent cock.

More. He needed more. He grabbed the hem of Balkhi’s t-shirt and yanked it up over his head, carelessly tossing it across the room and following it quickly with his own. Leaning down, he resumed their kiss, the passion between them burning ever hotter as they enjoyed skin-to-skin contact. Now he was torn. Torn between kissing Balkhi until they were both breathless and practically coming in their pants, or pulling away once more so they could get completely naked.

Eventually he made a decision that was more to do with his cock than his brain. Rolling off of Balkhi, he began removing his clothes, knowing without saying a word that the other man would mirror his actions. Fortunately, he hadn’t done his boots up in the shower room, he’d just shoved them on his feet, and soon the rest of his clothes had joined the rapidly growing pile strewn across the floor.

My Sexy Saturday #40 – Getting Your Sexy On #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

Welcome back to My Sexy Saturday. This is where writers post either 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs from their published work or work in progress, sticking to the week’s theme. This week’s theme is getting your sexy on. I’m sharing a snippet from my M/M novella, Desert Heat, which is part of the upcoming bundle, Unconditional Surrender. It’s due for release on the 13th October and is up for pre-order now.

“Touch your cock,” Wilkes said in his fantasy, while in real life his hand tugged down his boxer shorts and released his own. “Touch it for me. Stroke it. Squeeze it.” Each sentence mirrored his own actions, and within seconds his shaft was as hard as fantasy-Balkhi’s, which was now tipped with pre-cum.

Balkhi did as he was asked, his long fingers wrapping firmly around his dick, shifting up and down. The skin around his knuckles paled slightly as he obeyed the last command—squeeze it. His pupils were so large that his eyes looked almost black, and his bottom lip jutted out temptingly as he panted. Wilkes wanted to nip it between his teeth, make Balkhi gasp with the sharp bolt of pain, then pull the plump flesh into his mouth and suck it all better.

Remembering it was all in his head and that he could do whatever the hell he damn well wanted, Wilkes acted on his impulse. Balkhi tasted and felt as good as he looked, and Wilkes pumped his cock harder and faster, wishing he didn’t have to keep quiet. Not that anyone would do anything if they noticed what sounded like come-noises emanating from the boss’ tent, but no doubt he’d have the piss taken out of him at some point for being heard tossing off. And, knowing his luck, they’d bring it up in front of Balkhi, and then Wilkes would die of embarrassment on the spot.

Dropping to his knees, Wilkes hurriedly shoved Balkhi’s hand away from his shaft and took a moment to study it. Just like the man it belonged to, it was not too big, not too small, and yet far from average. Circumcised, the head was fully visible; nothing was hidden beneath folds of skin. Reaching out, Wilkes wrapped his fingers around it, unable to stop the grin that spread across his face as it hardened further beneath his touch.

Shifting a little to get the perfect grip, Wilkes then began to masturbate Balkhi, in long, steady strokes, squeezing just a little harder as he got to the base, releasing the tension as his hand traveled up the length. Then he reversed the technique, playing around to see what Balkhi liked best, what made him gasp, what made him moan. Everything seemed to have the desired effect, so Wilkes picked up speed and grew rougher with his strokes, delighted when more clear liquid beaded at the dark purple head.

Unable to resist, he stuck out his tongue and tasted it. A hiss escaped from between Balkhi’s teeth. Wilkes did it again, and again, poking his tongue deep into the slit, pulling out more of the salty liquid and drinking it down eagerly. God, he wanted to make him come in his mouth, make his cock throb between his lips and his balls empty their load down his throat.

Making sure his mouth was plenty wet, Wilkes licked his lips then sunk them onto Balkhi’s cock. It tasted good, so fucking good. Clean, musky, salty. Masculine. Wilkes had barely started and already he was hooked. Concentrating on the head for a while, he got it soaked with saliva, letting it dribble down the shaft and onto his fingers. Then he used his hand to pump the base while his lips, teeth and tongue teased the tip, gradually working down and down until he needed to move his hand out of the way. Continuing on, Wilkes pulled in a deep breath through his nostrils, willing himself to relax as the head of Balkhi’s cock flirted with his gag reflex. Pushing through the initial discomfort, he swallowed, taking it in, gratified to hear Balkhi’s yelp, and feel desperate fingers grip his scalp.

Mid Week Tease: “He certainly wasn’t going to fantasize about what he’d seen” #MWTease

MidWeekTease2Hi everyone,

Welcome back to Mid Week Tease. From this week I’m going to start teasing you with snippets from my M/M military erotic romance novella, Desert Heat, which is part of the upcoming Unconditional Surrender bundle. It’s due for release on the 13th October and is available for pre-order at just $0.99/77p!

Unconditional Surrender“No,” Wilkes replied, mirroring the gesture, “after you.” He told himself it was just his upbringing and his Britishness making him so polite. It was nothing to do with the fact he saw an opportunity to see how Balkhi’s backside looked in his combats. Really.

Balkhi conceded, stepped out in front of Wilkes and strode over to get some food. Wilkes followed, checking to make sure his men were too busy feeding their faces to take any notice of him. Satisfied no one would catch him, he took what he hoped was a subtle glance at Balkhi’s posterior. Damn. Just like his biceps and pecs, it wasn’t huge, but just fleshy enough to give a little stretch to the fabric covering it.

Snapping his gaze back up to a more respectful place, Wilkes stored the image in the back of his mind, telling himself that was it. He’d seen all he needed to see now, and he was going to stop looking, stop even thinking about looking. And he certainly wasn’t going to fantasize about what he’d seen. It was stupid of him to have even sneaked a peek, to have fed the silly crush he seemed to be developing.

Taking his food with thanks, he returned to the table, resolving to sit somewhere else tomorrow. He couldn’t very well bugger off today, as it’d look weird and rude, but from the moment he left the mess he was going to be strictly professional when it came to Balkhi. No more chatting about backgrounds and personal stuff. Just work, work, work.
That’s what they were both there for, after all.

Excerpt:

Closing his eyes, he forced himself to relax and let his brain do what it wanted. Naturally, it veered straight back to Balkhi. Balkhi as Wilkes had first met him, in dish-dash and flip-flops. Balkhi in British Army uniform and sturdy boots. Finally, Balkhi in nothing but a smile, his long, lean body hard and tempting. His dark skin shone in the light, shifting over muscles and sinews as Balkhi waited for Wilkes to make a move.

“Touch your cock,” Wilkes said in his fantasy, while in real life his hand tugged down his boxer shorts and released his own. “Touch it for me. Stroke it. Fuck, he felt powerful and vulnerable all at once, and it was perfect. Utterly perfect. Working his throat around Balkhi’s cock, he hoped it would be enough to make him come. His hands now free, he reached down and began teasing Balkhi’s balls, rolling them gently in the soft sac, tugging, squeezing lightly. A strangled sound came from above, and Wilkes smiled in his head.

Robin seems like the perfect partner, and what started as an act of duty turns into an unforgettably erotic encounter. But when Robin confesses he has an overwhelming urge to submit to a hunk in army uniform, Mark is not sure whether he can put aside the realities of war and fulfil his new lover’s most cherished desires. Reader Advisory: This book contains graphic descriptions of a roadside explosion, and acts of domination and submission between men.

When he forms a passionate and intense bond with Craig, Patrick finds it difficult to separate where his professional obligations end and his personal feelings begin. After working for so long to prove himself a worthy member of his accomplished military family, Patrick has to decide if finally finding the love of his life is worth sacrificing advancement in the army, or even giving up his career itself.

‘Letters to a War Zone’ by Lucy Felthouse

When lonely insurance broker, Bailey, gets himself a new hobby, he ends up exchanging letters with a war zone. But he’s not expecting what happens next…

Bailey Hodgkiss is lonely and dissatisfied with his boring life as an insurance broker. In an attempt to shake things up a little, he signs up to a website to write to serving soldiers. He’s put in touch with Corporal Nick Rock, and over the course of a couple of letters, the two of them strike up a friendship. They begin to divulge things that they perhaps wouldn’t have said in person, including their preference for men.

Nick encourages Bailey to add more interests to his life. As a result, Bailey picks up his forgotten hobby, photography, and quickly decides to team it up with his other preferred interest, travel.

Booking a holiday to Rome is his biggest gesture towards a more exciting existence, and he eagerly looks forward to the trip. That is, until Nick says he’s coming home on leave, and it looks as though their respective trips will prevent them from meeting in person. Is there enough of a spark between them to push them to meet, or will their relationship remain on paper only?
