Stirring Up Glory (Stirred by Love #2) by Kacey Hammell (@kaceyhammell)

Stirring Up GloryBlurb:

She’s not the one he wants…

Drew McKenna is obsessed with the woman who saved his family’s business. She’s the last woman he should want, but his dreams are flooded with the sultry, sexy woman who gets under his skin. He’d not prepared to end their lengthy riff just so he can give into his desire to have the gorgeous woman under him.

But she is the one he needs…

Glory Pierce gave up on Drew the second he flung vicious insults her way. The harder she tries to forget how deep those scars run, however, the more he invades her thoughts. When tragedy strikes, Glory is forced to put aside her anger and work with the man she despises. But as they mix business with pleasure, the heat between them reaches fever pitch, secrets are revealed, and passions are stirred up in ways neither of them can ignore.

Excerpt:

He tossed the phone to her, awed as the sheet she’d covered herself with dipped low, baring her bountiful cleavage. He started back toward the side. “Shit,” he yelled as he stubbed his toe.

“Are you okay?” She moved toward the edge of the bed.

Drew frowned as he kneeled. “What the hell?” he dragged the open wooden box out further.

“Oh, no!” she exclaimed. “Drew, leave that, please.”

“I don’t think so, baby.” The lid fell open the rest of the way when he stopped towing it across the floor.

“Jesus,” he groused. “This is … so many cocks, Glory.” He lifted his gaze to hers, his brow arched.

Heat rushed over Glory’s face. “Um …”

“I’d have investments in batteries if I were you.” Hell, he’d watched his past girlfriends use dildos and loved every single second of it. To find a treasure trove of at least a dozen under their bed, well, it was a first.

“Don’t be sarcastic. I never leave it out. Shit.”

He glanced at the chest, baffled by the different colors and sizes. Her past words of knowing how to take care of herself came to mind. “You use these after visits to Controlled Iris, don’t you?” His dick hardened as he imagined her so turned on from being at the mansion that she’d undress and shove a vibrator in her cunt as soon as she returned home. Sweat dotted along his upper lip.

“I’m sorry you had to see that. Let me put it away.” She swung her legs over the side of the bed.

“Stay. Leave it,” he ordered.

Eyes wide, she halted. He picked up one, studied it, and picked up another. He didn’t comprehend the need for so many.

“Oh, for heaven’s sake. Sometimes a gal needs more than one,” she replied with feigned bravado.

Drew stared at her, his eyebrow raised as he lifted two of her particular favorite dildos in each fist. “What a variety. Have a favorite?” he asked as serious as possible, amused by her hidden goodies.

She pinned him with a narrowed gaze, annoyance and ire crossing her face. Oh, he loved to see fire building in her eyes when he goaded her.

“Well, if you must know, Mr. Nosey. The glass blue one there, with the small to large beads is exciting. It fills me easy at first, and as my arousal builds, I can take more of it.” Drew swallowed hard, thrilled at her response but unsure if he could control himself with the suddenly sexy and graphic images exploding in his head. “And, the red one, which I call Sticky Red, has the largest girth and takes the crown as the ultimate delight. It sticks to any surface, but to plastic the best. I ride it.” Drew breathed deep as she leaned closer to him, hovering at the edge of the bed. The sheet fell from her tits, revealing more skin, but not everything he wanted to see as she held a quarter of it against her. “I ride it hard. On that chair over there,” she pointed and his gaze followed. A dark green plastic chair sat at the small vanity table where makeup lined the surface. “I love the freedom to use it whenever I want.”

His gaze met the fiery blue of hers. She was breathtaking. And he needed to see her on the edge. Needed to see that freedom.

“Show me,” he ordered, and held the red dildo out to her.

Startled, she sat up, baring her to him. “What?”

Drew sidled the few feet to the chair on his knees, and turned the chair around to face him. He contemplated the dildo in his hand, and the puzzle pieces fit together quick. Licking his left hand a couple times, he dampened the suction part and slammed the dildo on the chair to stick. After tugging on the bottom of it a few times, ensuring it was a strong hold, he moved back to the side of the bed.

His hands clasping her around the waist, he hauled her to her feet, and cupped her tits.

A loud gasp rushed from her. “Drew,” she exclaimed, her heart racing.

He kneaded the boon in front of him, leaned forward and pressed his lips to her chest. The sweet and salty nectar from her skin filled his mouth. Delicious and potent, desire rushed over him.

He cruised along her skin, his lips finding every freckle and mole, his tongue savoring every lick and nibble. Shifting lower, he flicked her nipple. Glory purred, her back arching against his palm where he held her upright. His dick shifted behind his shorts, twitching in eagerness to be free. He suckled each nipple, moving from one to the other, his teeth biting and his tongue soothing the sting.

“Oh my,” she groaned as he flicked the bud. “Oh, Drew.”

He lifted his head. The light caressed her skin in a glow that took his breath away. A golden goddess from her blonde head to her cute toes. “Show me, baby. I want to watch you in ecstasy.”

“But—” her gaze dropped, downcast, and she tried to scoot away from him.

“It’s okay, I promise. Don’t think, just imagine. Has anyone ever watched you pleasure yourself?” God, he prayed she said no.

Her gaze searched his until she shook her head. Drew breathed a sigh of relief.

“I promise I’ll keep your secrets. What happens in here will forever stay between us. Call it fulfilling a fantasy for me.” Drew waited, his heart pounding as Glory glanced at him, toward the chair, and back again. Uncertainty and fear clouded her eyes.

“Show me what you enjoy most. Show me what it takes to please you,” he crooned.

Abel’s Obsession by Lynn Burke (@AuthorLynnBurke)

Abel Beiler’s story came about while visiting my parents in Amish country this past April. While leaving for home early Sunday morning, I pulled up to a stop sign at a four-way intersection as horses labored to pull their Amish owners and families in their buggies to Sunday worship.

One young man in an open buggy sat to my right at the stop sign, unsmiling, leaning forward, elbows on knees and reins slack in his hands. I had this overwhelming urge to smile at him, trying to bring a little sunshine to his miserable countenance.

My plan didn’t work, and even though I was in an SUV with 3 children, the idea of Abel and Dani slammed into my brain, occupying my thoughts the whole way home. I voice-to-text in my phone’s notepad off and on the entire seven hour ride back to Massachusetts as Abel whispered his struggle to find himself in my brain.

Abel’s Obsession is by far the raunchiest story I’ve written to date, and I’m hoping the most eye-opening as well. An oppressed life isn’t a joyful one, and finding the strength to free yourself isn’t always easy. Neither is the choice to take wing and fly.

Abel's ObsessionBlurb:

A young man of religious fervor and self-control, Abel Beiler has every intention of honoring his parents and being baptized into the Amish church. The woman with red curls and flashing green eyes in the back of a convertible, however, makes Abel wonder what life with the English might be like.

He strives to withstand temptation, but the memory of the woman he yearns to dominate, coupled with the explicit images in his cousin’s filthy magazine, threatens his restraint.

Red, his sinful obsession, haunts his shameful dreams and becomes a secret part of his life. When faced with truth beyond faith, Abel must decide where he belongs—with the Amish community, or the woman who owns his heart.

Excerpt:

Much later and hoarse from singing for two hours, my curiosity overrode my better sense, and I followed Eli into the hayloft of their barn. While I held the kerosene lamp, he climbed high into the rafters and returned with a magazine clutched in his hand.

“Got this from my new English friend, Toby.” He sat on a bale, opened the magazine, and turned it toward me.

Lust kicked me in the gut, and I couldn’t speak.

A naked woman lay spread eagle and bound by ropes to a bed, a blindfold and some sort of ball gag in her mouth. A man loomed over her, whip in hand. Tear streaks lined the woman’s face. Red slashes marked her thighs. Wetness coated the pink folds of her sex, glistening, and set my mouth to watering.

The image burned into my brain—submission in an entirely different way than the Old Order’s definition of the word. Spirituality is submission, is what had been reiterated in my ears since childhood. Self-surrender. The willingness to give up oneself to the community and Gott’s chosen leaders.

I soaked in the sinful picture, and for the first time in my life wanted power. Wanted control. I wanted a woman’s submission like the man in leather beside her owned. Unable to tear my gaze off the image, I struggled to swallow.

“Didn’t know people actually did this shit.”

Eli’s curse, the first I had heard from him, barely registered past the blood rushing in my ears. My body tensed as longing to be the man standing over that woman, whip in hand raced through me faster than any thoroughbred—or car.

The image of Red flashed in my mind, and suddenly it was her bound to the bed in the picture, breathing heavily, trembling, and begging for me…

Abbey MacMunn Talks the Exotic Far East and Terrible Cooking (@abbeymacmunn) #tirgearr

In One Night in Kuala Lumpur, my erotic romance novella, artist Ziva Clarke visits the exotic Far East with three ‘S’s on her mind.

Sketch whatever inspires her.

Soak up the amazing culture.

Savour the exotic food.

However, when she meets the troubled businessman Sam Tempest, that’s not the only thing beginning with ‘S’ that she has on her mind! 😉

Like Ziva, when I visited Malaysia I was in awe of their diverse culture, the beautiful landscapes and the modern, vibrant cities. I tried many exotic foods, some of which I was probably better off not knowing what was in them, but that’s where the similarities end. I took with me the memories and even tried some of the recipes at home.

Alas, I am not a good cook. I’m a mum of four, I manage, just, and I haven’t given anyone food poisoning yet! My kids constantly remind me of my culinary disasters. While my intentions are good, and there hasn’t been a Bridget Jones’ blue soup incident yet, there have been plenty more.

Like the Fishless Fish Pie.

I swear I spooned a pound and a half of fish into the white sauce, covered it with mashed potato and popped it into the oven, but when we came to eat it, the fish had mysteriously disappeared. We ended up eating what was basically potato in white sauce. Yum!

Then there was the Lasagne Disaster.

Normally, I’m not too bad with lasagne, but this particular one, I decided to try out my new dried herb set. ‘Give it a bit of extra flavour,’ I thought, or as the top chefs like to say, ‘Elevate something ordinary into something worthy of a Michelin star restaurant.’ Well, needless to say, I over-did the oregano and basil and the thing tasted like a herb garden.

Another meal catastrophe was the Roast Dinner Salmonella Scare.

In my defence, we’d just moved into a new house and I was using an unfamiliar oven. We were hungry, the oven was taking forever to cook anything so I turned up the temperature. I burnt the roast potatoes but the chicken was so uncooked we had to throw it away.

So is there anything I can cook?

I’m happy to say, yes there is! A lemon dessert, a recipe handed down from my mum. It’s so delicious I get asked to make it at family gatherings, and it’s absolutely perfect for a summer barbecue. It’s fair to say Lemon Crunch is not the lightest in calories, but it’s summer—we’re all eating healthy salads, right?

And the best thing? It’s quick to make and so super easy even I can’t mess it up!

If you’d like to give it a go, you can find the recipe here on my website: https://wordpress.com/post/abbeymacmunn.com/489

Thanks for reading,

Excerpt:

Sam ran the last few feet across the reception area’s marbled floor towards the half-closing lift doors. He arrived as the gap narrowed to six inches and shoved his arm inside. “Wait, hold the lift, please.” The doors squashed his arm for a second before sliding back.

His breath caught. Sam couldn’t believe who stood there, knee-deep in shopping bags.

Her. Ziva.

Feet rooted to the floor, he took in her appearance. Saturated curls framed her face and stuck to her neck. He followed the ringlets as they dripped water down her short, strappy sundress, equally wet and clinging to every delicious curve. Her protruding nipples showed through the flimsy fabric, virtually begging for his attention. Dear God, she’s sexy. And wet. Soaking wet. His pulse rate rocketed.

A smile flashed across her elfin face, lighting her features as if they had their own sun emanating from within. “Sam! What are you doing here?”

She seemed genuinely pleased to see him. A refreshing change from the women he usually met—gold-diggers mostly; those who hung on his every word, but whose false personas matched their fake tits and orange Tango tans. “Ziva.” Her name rolled off his tongue like a puff of sweet air.

“You remembered my name?”

An unusual name, but one he’d heard before, although where eluded him right now. What were the chances of meeting her like this? There were hundreds of hotels in Kuala Lumpur and she’d picked this one. Somebody up there was playing Cupid, and doing a damn good job of it, too. Sam grinned back and stepped into the lift “You’re kind of difficult to forget.”

“Only kind of?” she teased.

The doors closed behind him and he caught her scent, fruity and sweet. His whole body buzzed with awareness. “I thought you didn’t like shopping,” he said, pointing at the numerous bags around her ankles.

She didn’t press a button to her floor. “You remembered that, too?”

“Yes.” He remembered everything about her. Including the black, lacy bra.

Hi folks,

I’m delighted to announce the release of my sexy romance novella, Fast Lust! It was previously in the British Bad Boys boxed set, and is now available as a standalone release. Here’s what it’s all about:

Blurb:

When a straitlaced journalist and a fearless motorcycle racer are thrown into an interview together, will they find any common ground? Or are they destined to clash?

Gloria Heath loves her job as a lifestyle journalist. She also loves the perks—free meals, complimentary spa treatments, behind-the-scenes access and more. So when her boss sends her on an assignment to the British Superbikes tournament at Donington Park, she’s less than impressed. Sports are definitely not her thing, and her brief is to find a rider with an interesting back story and write about their journey. But how is she supposed to do that when she really doesn’t care one way or the other?

When she experiences the atmosphere and the racing, however, she starts to see the attraction. Soon after, she finds the perfect case study for her article. Rafe Donovan is fearless, ambitious, and the underdog of the tournament. He’s also drop dead gorgeous. She eagerly sets out to interview him, but soon discovers the bad boy biker is a tough nut to crack. The more she asks questions, the more he shuts down. On a Dark Tide by Naomi Clark (@naomi_jay)

Thanks for having me here today! I’m excited to share my latest Romance on the Go, ON A DARK TIDE, a story I constantly (and probably annoyingly) referred to as the Creepy Ocean Story whilst writing it. I’m a mermaid at heart. I love the ocean, whatever the season, whatever the weather. Nothing makes me feel as at peace or inspired as sitting by the shore. ON A DARK TIDE is one of several stories and books I’ve written with the ocean at its heart, and it won’t be the last.

ON A DARK TIDE also let me touch on something else I love – true crime and unsolved mysteries. I have a fairly long commute to work each day, and I usually pass the time by listening to podcasts. Delving into truly strange and puzzling stories of disappearances helped me shape the background of Piper and Cam’s story, and hopefully you’ll enjoy delving into the mystery of Dina Mackay with them!

*****

On a Dark TideBlurb

True crime podcasters Piper and Cam have travelled to the sleepy seaside town of Findlay to investigate the disappearance of a woman nearly a decade ago. The theories are wild—everything from murder to mermaids, and Piper is determined to get to the truth. Battling her fear of the ocean, Piper soon realizes Findlay has deeper, darker secrets than she could ever have believed. As she struggles to master her fear and deal with her unrequited love for Cam, Piper is lured into perilous waters. The truth waits beneath the waves—and Piper’s fate waits with it.

Excerpt

“Cam,” Piper said again, almost wailing it as Cam took off back up the shore toward the town. Piper started after her, got her feet tangled in those grabby strands of seaweed, and toppled over. She landed face-first in the sand, grit and water-worn stones digging into her palms. “Shit!”

She lay there for a few seconds, berating herself for being so stupidly tongue-tied. Then she picked herself up and hugged herself against the bitter cold wind rushing off the waves. She could fix this.

All she had to do was run after Cam and say … something. She didn’t know what, though. She still wasn’t sure what the hell had just happened. What Cam had expected to happen.

But she wouldn’t find out hanging around on the beach, would she?

She started walking, the distant lights of the town guiding her. She and Cam had come further than she realized, and night had swept in while they walked. She couldn’t even see Cam’s silhouette up ahead. But she couldn’t have gotten far, surely. Piper had only been down a minute.

Piper cupped her hands to her mouth. “Cam? Cameron!”

There was no answer. The wind shrieked down the bay, suddenly wild, and Piper flashed back vividly to her dream last night. She wondered if that’s all it had been, a howling gale invading her dreams. She glanced out across the ink-dark waters of the bay, watching the white caps rise and fall as the tide drove in. It was too easy to imagine being tossed around in those wild waves, mouth full of salt, lungs burning, body sinking and rising at the will of the water. It was too easy to imagine Dina Mackay walking into the sea…

Piper shivered, unsure where the idea came from. The wind rose and fell in strange harmony, filling her head with shipwrecks and yellowed bones polished by centuries of sand and water. She stopped looking for Cam, entranced and disturbed by the song of the bay. It did sound like voices, eerily so. Sweet, inhuman singing as the wind ripped through hidden caves and over knee-high banks of marram grass.

Dina could have heard that beautiful, awful music the night she went missing. She could have walked out of the Lobster Pot, just like Piper had tonight, pleasantly buzzed, and thought she heard voices down on the shore, out in the water.

Piper didn’t remember moving, but the water lapped at her feet now, so either she’d moved or the tide had. She wasn’t sure. It didn’t matter. The singing swirled around her, warming her where the wind had chilled her. The water washed over her canvas shoes, soaking in and anchoring her to the shore. The singing pulled at her, dragged at her, as inexorable as the ocean.
