Sunday Snog – Finally Found

Sunday Snog

Lover UnexpectedHere’s a snog-tastic snippet from Lover Unexpected: Sappho Edition, which is a lesbian erotic romance anthology, containing my story, Finally Found. It also contains tales from Doris O’Connor, Erin M. Leaf, Luxie Ryder, Emma Shortt, Giselle Renarde and Eve Meridian. It was released Friday and you can grab the buy links here.

Ashleigh shook her head, apparently still trying to wrap her brain around Natalia’s revelation. “Well, I admit you’ve thrown me a little off track here. It’s going to take a while for it all to sink in. But it seems we’re ultimately on the same page, so yes, I was flirting with you. Like mad, in fact.”

“Well,” Natalia said, pulling her hands from Ashleigh’s grip and moving them to cup the redhead’s face, “thank fuck for that. Consider me to be flirting right back.”

With that, she leaned in and pressed her lips to Ashleigh’s. They’d shared many kisses over the years; friendly, celebratory, consolatory… but nothing like this. She’d fantasised about this moment for so many years, and now she could scarcely believe it was happening. Natalia opened her mouth and deepened their kiss. She tasted mango lip gloss as her tongue slipped into Ashleigh’s warm and willing mouth.

Their groans mingled even as their tongues clashed, wetly slipping and sliding against one another. Ashleigh tangled her hands in Natalia’s brunette locks, pulling her head gently back until their kiss was broken. Natalia mewled in protest, but her complaint quickly turned into a deep moan of pleasure as Ashleigh’s soft lips touched the skin of her throat. She kissed, nibbled and gently sucked at the sensitive area until Natalia was helpless—and almost boneless—with pleasure. Her pussy and clit throbbed as blood rushed to the area, and she was sure that a look between her legs would reveal a very wet and eager cunt. The enthusiasm with which Ashleigh was pleasuring her made Natalia suspect that she was equally as hot and horny. She seriously hoped so.

“Ash.” Her voice was husky with want, and she cleared her throat before continuing. “Ash, let’s get naked. I want to see you. To touch you.”

Ashleigh pulled back from her sublime torture of Natalia’s throat and ears, a huge grin on her face. “I thought you’d never ask.”

Weekend at Wilderhope Manor is Re-released!

Weekend at Wilderhope ManorI recently got the rights back to my lesbian erotica piece, Weekend at Wilderhope Manor, so I’ve re-released it myself, on Kindle. Luckily, I was able to use the same cover again, because I think it’s fabulous. It’s enrolled in the KDP Select programme on Amazon at the moment, which means they have exclusivity for 90 days, but it also means people can borrow the book, which is awesome.

However, since the title has a completely new listing on Amazon, it means all my previous reviews have gone. So if you’ve already read and enjoyed Weekend at Wilderhope Manor, I’d love it if you could post your review on Amazon. Any “likes” and tags are also hugely appreciated.

Grab your copy here, if you haven’t already. You can also read and blurb and an excerpt 🙂

2011 – A Year in Summary

2011 Year in Summary

And what a year it’s been! I quit my job, started my own business, started writing tons more… and the above pic is the result! Or at least, the paperback result. When you include eBooks, there are even more! 😀

So, whaddya see in the pic? All released in 2011, the books are all anthologies containing my stories. I even edited one of the books!

In no particular order, they are (click the links for more info):

A list of eBooks I’ve written/been included in is (not including breakdowns of print anthologies):

By my (probably not very accurate), I make that 24 publications this year! It’s a mere drop in the ocean compared to the number the awesome Sommer Marsden (who I borrowed the ‘year in summary’ idea from) has clocked up, but considering it’s the first year since I started writing for publication that I’ve taken it more seriously, I’m still pretty proud of myself!

I guess my aim next year should be to beat 24! At the time of writing this post, I have 4 publications contracted for 2012, so I need 21 or more to beat it. I should probably stop blogging and start writing, huh?! And on that note…

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

Home Sweet Home

After a lovely, lovely time away which went far too quickly – I’m home sweet home! I’m shattered and currently wading through my emails. I’ve had some goodies, too, including a story acceptance, a fab review (see below) and information on my appearances at Erotica, which I’ll share when they’re confirmed.

Once I have all my photos downloaded I’ll be posting a couple of blog posts about my holiday/research trip. I had an awesome time, particularly when I revisited the settings of some of the scenes from Bite with Height. I am also jam packed with ideas for the follow up. So watch this space!

Naughty DeliveryAnyway, here’s a lovely review I had for my BDSM short, Naughty Delivery:

“Naughty Delivery is a quick but tantalizing read about a couple who try something new. The story is cute, sexy, and a very fun read. I enjoyed reading this novella, and I will be happy to read more by Lucy Felthouse in the future.” 4 out of 5, Book Savvy Babe

You can see the review in its entirety here.

A Pride Reading at Sh! Hoxton

As most of you know, Kay Jaybee and I descended on Sh! Hoxton on Saturday evening to regale the audience with readings from a selection of our gay and lesbian titles. And what a fabulous evening it was! The lovely Jo did her introductory bits and Kay took to the pink seat and told us a naughty tale from Xcite’s Boy Fun anthology which went down a storm. The Basic Rules of Anal Sex was delivered only after we’d been given a copy of said rules to accompany the deliciously dirty story.

Next up was yours truly with my tale from Ravenous Romance anthology I Kissed A Girl. Show Me Yours is a sexy story about two girls and their various sex toys and we had a good giggle as just as I was talking about a buzzing Rampant Rabbit, some crazy vibrating noises came from the upstairs of the store – talk about sound effects!

Then it was over to Kay again who read another yummy m/m story to us from her lush book, The Collector (which you should totally read, it’s HAWT).

My stage time was concluded with a snippet from my f/f erotic romance, Bite with

Lucy Felthouse & Kay Jaybee

Height. I was worried that the audience had gone deadly silent. I thought perhaps I’d sent them to sleep, but I have it on very good authority that they were merely hanging onto my every word, as the section I’d chosen to read was particularly tense. The tale is too long to read in its entirety, but I hope I whetted enough appetites that people will dash and buy the eBook to find out what else happens!

Ms. Jaybee concluded proceedings with a bonus story from The Collector at the request of one Jacqueline Applebee, who was in attendance. Jo then wrapped everything up and presented Kay and I with a little present from the Sh! Girlz (thanks, ladiez!).

Jacqueline Applebee, Lucy Felthouse, Kay Jaybee, K D GraceSadly, Kay wasn’t able to join us for dinner, but myself, my OH, K D Grace and her lovely hubby and Jacqueline Applebee retired to an eatery just around the corner from Sh! to continue the fun. I enjoy that part of the evening just as much as the readings because it means there’s lots more chat to be had, and since I hadn’t really had chance to speak to Jacqueline Applebee much beforehand, it was great to get to know her a little. We had some writer chat, and quite the discussion on comic book movies and the abundance of totty they’ve been filled with this year.

Overall, a very fun evening! Can’t wait to do it all again! 🙂 I did mention a potential Seducing the Myth reading to Jo… so watch this space!

Book Review: Carnal Machines – Steampunk Erotica by D. L. King (ed.)

Article first published as Book Review: Carnal Machines: Steampunk Erotica Edited by D. L. King on Blogcritics.

Carnal MachinesI had no idea what to expect when I picked up Carnal Machines. I confess that before reading the foreword, I wasn’t 100% sure what steampunk was – though it turned out that I was pretty much right in my thinking. And for those of you that don’t know, in brief the genre is stories based in the Victorian era with an emphasis on inventions and machinery, i.e. steam-powered.

Now that’s cleared up, on to the review…

When I started reading Carnal Machines I quickly realised that the title was very literal. I knew that the machinery would be involved, obviously, but I wasn’t expecting, well, sex machines. There are naughty gadgets left, right and centre in this book – it’s a Victorian version of a sex toy shop!

The book really captures what it was to be alive in Victorian times – worried about being proper, sullied reputations – and sex. Carnal Machines takes what we know about that repressed time and flings open the doors. It’s always been hinted that the Victorians were in fact sex mad, probably due to the ‘forbidden’ nature of the act, and this anthology really plays on that. You can almost imagine yourself being transported back to a simpler time where polite society frowned upon naughtiness, so people did it in secret.

There are tales about the curing of hysterical women, using sexual energy to power machines, steam powered strap ons and much more. It’s a really good fun, well written anthology which is completely different to anything I’ve ever read before.

One of my favourite stories was Doctor Watson Makes A House Call, purely because I’m a fan of the Sherlock Holmes stories and thought this was a brilliant take on it. The very idea of the supposedly prim and proper Watson using sexual aids on a woman to ‘cure’ her was excellent.

So, if you’re looking something sexy and very different, look no further. Carnal Machines is a decadent and unique read that’s well worth adding to your to be read list.
