Fall… or Autumn as it’s called over here in the UK is a season I both love and hate. I love the colours of the leaves, the beautiful sunny days and the crisp fresh air. But, living in England means that we also get lots of horrendous rainy and cold days. Plus, I dislike short days. In terms of sunlight, that is. At the moment, I’m having to turn my office light on at around 4pm due to it getting dark, and it’s only going to get darker. Dark mornings suck, too! I’m not a morning person, and it not being light outside makes it even more difficult for me to get up.
Having said all that, there’s a bonus to the dark and the cold. It makes me write more. I’m not longing to go outside and go hiking or something, so I tend to knuckle down and get some words on the page. Failing that, I’ll cozy up with a book. And I love reading and writing, so it’s definitely not all bad! 😉
