My Sexy Saturday #7 – #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

Welcome back to My Sexy Saturday. This is where writers post either 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs from their published work or work in progress, sticking to the week’s theme. This week’s theme is people driving each other crazy, in the good way. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to start getting festive, so I’ve included a snippet from my m/f shifter erotic romance, Reindeer Games: Cupid.

“What’s the matter?” she asked.

Cassius shook his head, as though to rid himself of his maudlin thoughts. “Nothing,” he replied, stepping towards her, “I was just thinking about how beautiful you are.”

She lowered her eyes demurely, and a wash of colour crept across her cheeks. It was totally adorable, and Cassius’ rapidly swelling cock leapt in response. She seemed to get a grip on herself, and looked back up at him. “Thank you. You’re pretty damn gorgeous yourself. Now kiss me.”

“It would be my pleasure.” He leaned down to do just that, but then stopped. “Oh, hang on one moment.”

A little crease appeared between her eyebrows as he backed off. Then he walked over to his bedside table, removed his glasses and put them down. “Okay, I’m all yours.”

“Well, thank fuck for that! Come here.” She shuffled back on the bed until she was leaning against the pillows, and patted the space next to her.

Cassius didn’t hesitate. He noticed she’d already taken off her shoes, and he quickly pulled his off before joining her on the mattress and moving instantly into her open arms. Their lips met, and once more Cassius was astounded by the strength of feeling he had for this woman. It was as though she’d cast some kind of spell on him, almost like the mating bond that some of his kind experienced. But he’d never expected to feel that—his reindeer colleagues were all spoken for, and he’d never been attracted to any of the girls, anyway. He’d resigned himself to the fact that any attachments he had would be of the human, not supernatural, variety.

Hump Day Hook No. 32 #HDH

humpdayhookHi everyone and welcome to Hump Day Hook, which is basically where authors post a paragraph from a WIP or a published work to show it off to the world. I haven’t posted or commented for a while as things have been crazy, but hopefully they’ll calm down now. I’m now getting festive by posting from my m/f shifter erotic romance, Reindeer Games: Cupid.

Cassius Cupid woke with a start, and then sat bolt upright in his bed. Shit, I’m going to be late! was his first thought.

Milliseconds later his brain switched on, and he remembered. He was on holiday. Flopping back onto the warm mattress and pillows with a contented sigh, he smiled. No work for fourteen whole days—it was going to be utter bliss. He stretched, relishing the feeling it created in his sleep-softened muscles. Ahhh…this is the life.

Want more? Of course you do! Here’s the page  for Reindeer Games: Cupid. And click here to go and visit the rest of the Hump Day Hook gang. Leave us comments about our pieces – we love it! 🙂

Guest Blogger: Kimber Vale

Thanks so much, Lucy, for hosting me today!

I’m so excited to be here talking about Coming Together: In the Trenches. Let me just start by saying that I love Coming Together. They’ve given me the opportunity to say that I, Kimber Vale, write smut for a good cause. How awesome is that? All the proceeds from Coming Together anthologies go to a worthy cause of choice. The wonderful people behind the scenes donate their time and talent to edit, format, create lovely covers for, and publish these fantastic themed collections—and all in the name of charity. I’m so grateful for all they do, and always thrilled to see a Coming Together submission call that sparks a story idea or jibes with a tale I have sitting on my hard drive just waiting for a good home.

Coming Together is the best home.

So, this Veterans Day—and every day—please take the time to connect with those you know who have fought for our freedom. Please spare a thought or a prayer for those brave heroes who are no longer with us. And, if you love a spicy story about a man or woman in army green, please pick up Coming Together: In the Trenches. Sales of this collection benefit Protect Our Defenders, an organization which “educates the public and policymakers on the crisis of sexual violence in the military.”

The contributing authors to Coming Together: In the Trenches provided a sweet mix of historical, contemporary, and high-octane erotic romance for your reading pleasure. He’s a look at what’s inside:

Once Upon a Thursday by Robert Buckley
During the American Civil War a squad of Union soldiers gets lost in the woods of northern Virginia. They find their way to a forlorn tobacco shed wherein dwell an enigmatic woman and a group of elderly men who have no sense of time.

Half a Day from the Front by Skilja Peregrinarius
Claire works in an inn close enough to the front lines to hear the guns in the night. She can’t fight, so she does what she can to support those who do.

This is Me Holding You by Annabeth Leong
As Carin’s life as a soldier again calls her away from her family, her husband Jun searches for a way to bind her to him. In the final hours of her leave, he gifts her with ropes he made himself, twisted from milkweed he gathered while thinking of her.

When He Comes Home by Di Topaz
Natalie catches Vance’s eye at the beginning of her college career. After a four-year game of cat and mouse, she finally admits her feelings for him. Their newfound romance is interrupted when Vance decides to join the Army.

Report on the Heart by Yvette Hines
After a career as an Air Force public affairs sergeant, Maria Locket has separated from the military and moved close to her hometown, where the biggest story she figures will be the local society events. Her plans for a smooth future are interrupted by the unexpected appearance of someone she thought was gone forever.

A Problem with Authority by Lucy Felthouse
Corporal Roxanne Grey has bawled Private Jesse Bagnall out one too many times during drill instruction. Jesse complains to his friends about the Corporal’s mistreatment, loudly enough that she overhears his rant. Commanding him into the guardroom, Roxanne divulges some information which makes it very easy for the two of them to get back on an even keel.

Comando Especial by Kimber Vale
Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Rojas commands Navy SEAL trained soldiers in a special anti-narcotics division of the Colombian military, facing deadly enemies on a regular basis. But when Alex’s ex-girlfriend is kidnapped by a ruthless drug lord, the usual high-octane mission becomes personal. If Alex and Luz get out of the dangerous situation alive, Alex doesn’t plan to let Luz walk away a second time.

Dutch & Lobo by Aliyah Burke
A Marine finds passion in the jungle, enlisting the help of his lover to save a fellow Marine. Will Dutch ever see her again or will his memories be all he’s allowed of the mercenary Lobo?

Sunday Snog – A Problem with Authority

Sunday Snog

Coming Together: In The TrenchesWelcome back to Sunday Snog. I’m sharing something a little different this week – a sexy snogging snippet from my story, A Problem with Authority, which appears in Coming Together: In The Trenches. This anthology releases tomorrow, and I’m particularly proud to be a part of it, as the proceeds are going to a worthy charity – Protect Our Defenders. So make sure to grab it for your eReader!

Soon, he could take no more. His hand stung like fuck, and if he didn’t do something with his cock soon he was probably going to come in his underwear. Raining a few more blows down on her for good measure, he then grabbed her by the shoulders, pulled her upright and spun her round.

Her face was red, her eyes wide. But she hadn’t been crying, and she didn’t look angry. In fact, she looked as horny as he felt, her lips parted enticingly. Taking advantage, he slanted his mouth over hers and kissed her with all the need and arousal he was experiencing, hoping like hell she wouldn’t decide he’d gone a step too far.

Thankfully, she didn’t. She returned the embrace, slipping her arms around his neck and kissing him back with a bruising ferocity. So it seemed she did like the pain. That was something clearly worth knowing. Their tongues brushed together, explored, tickled and fought until Jesse was dizzy with need. Pulling away, he gasped for air, then said, “Roxanne, I really need to fuck you, but I don’t have a condom.”
A coquettish smile taking over her lips, she replied, “It’s okay, I do.”

My Sexy Saturday #6 – #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

Welcome back to My Sexy Saturday. This is where writers post either 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs from their published work or work in progress, sticking to the week’s theme. This week’s theme is differing definitions of sexy. So I thought my Rubenesque erotic romance novella, Mean Girls, would be perfect for this…

“It is easy. Well, the letter writing part, anyway. Here,” he grabbed a pen and notepad and slapped them down in front of Oliver, “get on with it. And as for her saying no, well if you don’t ask, you’ll never know, will you? I have a feeling she’ll say yes, though. It sounds like you get on quite well, and the way she acted when I called you over told me something was amiss. I reckon she just didn’t know what to say. She doesn’t get asked out much as so many people just can’t see beyond her weight, and they have absolutely no idea what they’re missing out on.”
Oliver nodded thoughtfully. “Okay, that all makes sense. So what you’re saying is we’re both rubbish at chatting up the opposite sex, and that if I don’t make the first move, she won’t either?”

“Pretty much.”

“Well, fuck that. I’m not missing out on my opportunity with a great gal. The blokes round here must have a screw loose if they’re passing her by because of her figure. So she’s not a size ten, so fucking what? I think she looks great as she is. Fantastic, actually. And you know why? Because she’s happy. Happy and healthy, and bubbly. What could be more attractive than that?”

“I like you already. Now get scribbling. In fact, if you hurry up and write something before your food comes out, that and your drink are on the house. Just don’t tell Adele, okay? I’ll leave you alone for a minute.”

Alex grabbed a second notebook and pen and started checking the bottles hanging from the optics, the crisps, peanuts and other snacks attached to cardboard holders. Presumably he was working out what he needed to order in. Pulling his gaze away, Oliver forced it onto the blank page in front of him. Pretending to be fascinated by what Alex was up to wasn’t going to help him ask Adele out now, was it?

As it happened, Alex encouraging him, both in general and to hurry up, helped immensely. Because he didn’t have lots of time to think about what to write, he just jotted down the first things that came into his mind. When he read the thing back, he decided it had been for the best, because the words were truthful and to the point.

You can buy Mean Girls here.
