Mid Week Tease: “Christ, he’s going to be trouble.” #MWTease

MidWeekTease2Hi everyone,

Welcome back to Mid Week Tease. This week, I’m sharing a tease from the upcoming M/M erotic romance boxed set I’m part of – Brit Boys: On Boys. My novella in the collection is called Love on Location and is set in a beautiful Derbyshire village in England.

Brit Boys: On Boys“That’s not what I’ve heard. I’m Eddie, by the way. Eddie Henderson.”

Theo took the hand that was offered, and shook it. “Theodore Samuels. Theo. Nice to meet you.”

“You too. So, you never answered my question. Everything all right?”

“Yeah, I suppose,” Theo said with a shrug. “Just nerves, I think. I’m struggling to get into the right mindset for this character. But I’ve got a couple of days—so I won’t panic just yet. Actually,” he paused as a bright idea illuminated his brain, “could I ask you something?”

Eddie took a seat beside Theo on the bench, and it was only when they were up close and personal that he realised just how handsome the younger man was. He had a lightly-muscled build, ginger hair, a riot of freckles on his face and forearms, blue-green eyes and a slight gap between his two front teeth. Cute and sexy all at once. Christ, he’s going to be trouble.

You can pre-order your copy of Brit Boys: On Boys here (in fact, I’d advise pre-ordering, as the price will be going up after release): https://www.lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/brit-boys-on-boys/

Third Day of Celebrations for Stately Pleasures! #erotica #bdsm #romance #bbw #menage

spbirthdayHi everyone,

The birthday celebrations continue! If you missed the previous posts, check them out here and here. If not, please read on…

My Research for Stately Pleasures

Research wasn’t essential to Stately Pleasures. The stately home it’s set in is fictional, and yet I did research. Why? Because I wanted to. I wanted to build a picture in my mind of Davenport Manor, what it looked like inside and outside, what the grounds were like, and so on. Much of what I saw, many of the places I visited, weren’t even used in the book, but it all helped me to figure out what the fictional house was going to be like.

My National Trust membership got some serious abuse while I was researching. Many weekends were spent sneaking off to properties, both nearby and further afield, as well as taking in some places to and from weekends away that were too far away to visit for a day trip.

The picture in my mind grew more detailed as I pieced together what I wanted from various mansions—school rooms, libraries, servants’ quarters, corridors and much more. But still I headed out to do more research. It wasn’t a hardship, you see. I love visiting those places anyway, which is why I ended up writing a book set in a stately home in the first place. Other things I saw sparked off more ideas for scenes to be included in the book—including a pestle and a carpet beater.

Finally, I was all researched out. I just needed to get on and write the book. But one thing I really wanted to include was a maze, and there wasn’t anywhere nearby that had one. One flying visit to a National Trust garden and then Hampton Court Palace later (not in the same day, of course!) and I was all sorted—I had everything I needed.

I take plenty of photographs when I go to these places, whether I’m researching or not, because I never know when places will pop up in my work. I referred back to my photos plenty, as well as heading online. The Internet is an incredibly valuable tool, and I used it to find out or clarify various bits and pieces and make sure certain things that I’d mentioned were correct.

I think perhaps I over-researched certain things as not everything was used in the book, but I don’t mind, not one bit. I’d rather truly know what I’m writing about, even if I don’t mention every little snippet. And it was an incredibly fun experience—though my poor other half possibly won’t agree!

More Birthday Celebrations for Stately Pleasures! #erotica #bdsm #romance #bbw #menage

spbirthdayHi everyone,

My Inspiration for Stately Pleasures

Although I don’t remember where the actual idea for Stately Pleasures came from, as it’s was in my head for so long before I wrote it, I can definitely tell you where my inspirations came from. Inspirations for setting and characters, that is.

The setting, Davenport Manor, is a totally fictional place made up of various real places I’ve been to and ones I imagined. It’s like a patchwork quilt, or something. A facade from here, a maze from there, a schoolroom from X, servants’ quarters from Y, a library from Z… you get the idea. It all pieced together nicely in my mind to make up a very rich and exciting place for my characters to play. I loved writing about the setting just as much as what was actually happening there!

As for character inspirations, well, that’s easy. Imagine Jeremy Renner with a posh British accent and you have Jeremy Davenport. Imagine Jared Padalecki, also with a posh British accent, and you have Ethan Hayes. Told you it was easy 😉

Alice Brown is much more difficult. She’s a curvy chick, and I looked around and couldn’t find a Rubenesque celebrity I wanted to base her on. Sadly, there are also far too few Rubenesque celebrities around! So Alice is a total figment of my imagination, but if I got asked to select someone for casting in a film, I’d choose Melissa McCarthy.

Saturday Spankings #32 – #SatSpanks

Saturday Spankings-467x200Hi everyone,

It’s time for another Saturday Spankings, which is where authors post eight-ish sentences of a spanking on their blogs. I’m including another snippet from erotica anthology, Multi-Orgasmic. It follows on directly from last week’s. Enjoy!

If her skin hadn’t already been so red, he was sure he’d have left handprints. Growing more confident, he slapped her harder, experimenting with a flattened hand, then a cupped hand, to see which made the best sounds or caused her to gasp more loudly.

Soon, he could take no more. His hand stung like fuck, and if he didn’t do something with his dick soon he was probably going to come in his underwear. Raining a few more blows down on her for good measure, he then grabbed her by the shoulders, pulled her upright and spun her around.

Her face was red, her eyes wide. But she hadn’t been crying, and she didn’t look angry. In fact, she looked as horny as he felt, her eyes glinting and her lips parted enticingly.

I hope you enjoyed that snippet! You can grab the book here (FREE for Kindle Unlimited members!). And then see the below list to hop to the other authors taking part…

My Sexy Saturday #51 – A Sexy Morning #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

This week’s theme is a sexy morning. I’m sharing my first sexy snippet from my story Love on Location, which appears in Brit Boys: On Boys, a M/M boxed set. What’s more, the price will be increasing after release, so bag it at a bargain price now 😉 It’s already a bestseller at Amazon and All Romance eBooks!

“I’m not playing anything. I’m asking you a question. Why do you think I’m not interested?”

“Because you said you weren’t.”

“No, I didn’t. If you’re talking about the ‘assume’ conversation, then if you think back, you’ll realise I didn’t actually say I wasn’t attracted to you. But then you buggered off before I had chance to say anything else.”

Theo blinked rapidly, recalling the conversation and realising that Eddie was right. “So what are you saying?” He met Eddie’s gaze.

“I’m saying, you idiot, that I am attracted to you. I was just hurt, confused, pissed off—especially when you said that nothing could ever happen between us. Why is that, precisely?”

As they continued looking at each other, Eddie’s stare intense and questioning all at once, Theo replied, “You know what? For the life of me, I can’t fucking remember.”

Reaching out, he grabbed the back of Eddie’s neck and roughly pulled him in for a kiss.
